On Wednesday, 6/10/2020, EAPS held a department-wide discussion about antiracism within our department. You can find the agenda, notes, and action items from this discussion on this page. Please read more about #ShutDownSTEM here.
The goals of this workshop were to crystallize the values and stance that EAPS takes on issues relating to anti-Black racism in STEM, and to develop an action plan, both on individual and departmental levels, to meaningfully address those issues.
You can find the planning document, along with agenda items, prior reading, and ground rules and other suggestions for our (volunteer!) discussion leaders can be found here. The slides summarizing the readings are available here.
