Robert D. Scott
Robert D. Scott began his military career by enlisting in the Army in November 1952. He initially served as an Infantryman in Korea and later transitioned to the role of Fire Control Technician in the U.S. Air Defense program. He was appointed as a Warrant Officer in January 1962. Throughout his career, he served in multiple locations, including Korea, Vietnam, Germany, and various stateside postings, accruing nearly 21 years of active service.
After retiring from the Army in January 1978, Scott joined the U.S. Federal Civil Service, where he worked for approximately 20 years. He eventually became the Director of Plans and Operations at the U.S. Army Personnel Information Directorate. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University. He also graduated from the Federal Executive Institute and attended the Senior Executive Fellow program at Harvard University in 1993.
Post-retirement, Scott served as the Vice Chairman of the Pentagon Federal Credit Union Board of Directors and as the Chairman of the Pentagon Federal Credit Union Foundation, focusing on support for wounded warriors. He also held a leadership position as President Emeritus of the U.S. Army Warrant Officers Association from 1980-82 and led the USAWOA Scholarship Foundation. On June 9, 2010, Scott was inducted into the Eagle Rising Society, an honor that recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the Warrant Officer community. This induction highlights his reputation for integrity and competence throughout his military career
CW4 (Ret) Robert D. Scott's military career is marked by dedicated service both during and after his time in the Army, exemplifying commitment, leadership, and a focus on the welfare of soldiers and their families. His contributions to the military and the community reflect a lifetime of exemplary service, he died in March 2015.
