Kenneth B.N. (Pete) Hill

Kenneth B.N. (Pete) Hill, Chief Warrant Officer Four (CW4), USA (Ret), was born February 9, 1956 in Pomona, Califonia. He enlisted in the US Army in Houston, Texas, on April 10, 1974. He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Polk, LA, Advanced Individual Training at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, and Basic Airborne Training at Fort Benning, GA. His first assignment was to the D/782nd Maintenance Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division, at Fort Bragg, NC. In 1978, he was assigned to D/122nd Maintenance Battalion, 3rd Armored Division, Kirchgoens, Germany. His next assignment was in Philadelphia, PA, where he served with Charlie Company, 330th Combat Engineers.

In 1986, Pete was selected to attend the Warrant Officer Entry and Technical Certification Courses. In February 1987, he was appointed Warrant Officer One, a 630A Wheeled Vehicle Maintenance Technician. Following graduation, he was assigned to Bravo Battery 1/1 ADA (HAWK), where he served as the Battery Maintenance Technician; later, he was selected as the Battalion Maintenance Officer. In August 1997, Pete was selected to serve as the Brigade Maintenance Officer for the 44th Medical Brigade. In 1999, he was assigned to APG, MD, and attended the Warrant Officer Staff Course in March of the following year. His last active duty assignment was with the 61st Ordnance Brigade, where he served as a Small Group Leader and Branch Chief at the Warrant Officer Advance Course at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Pete retired in June 2002 with twenty-eight years of combined service. In May 2006, he was honored with his induction into the Ordnance Corps Hall of Fame for his contributions to the Corps. In December 2006, the International Society of Logistics conferred on him the title of Demonstrated Master Logistician.
