Hi! My name is Raj Gokidi. I've been a Boy Scout in Troop 493 for 4 years now. Currently I am a Life Scout working on my Eagle Project. For this project I got an opportunity to build a tool shed for the Goshala Cow Farm.
Please take a moment to go through this page and see what my Eagle Project is about and how to support it. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you!

An Eagle Project is a way for a Boy Scout to demonstrate leadership and responsibility while supporting the community. The project is usually a physical task that benefits a non-profit organization.
My Eagle Project is a 10'X11' steel frame tool shed for Goshala Farm. Goshala farm is a cow farm for the Krishna Balaram Temple in Milpitas. In the Hindu culture, cows are perceived as forms of God and therefore are treated the same. With that, the Goshala farm is very important to the temple and its devotees. The purpose of my project is to help store food and supplies for the cows while providing shelter against wildlife and weather.
As mentioned above, the tool shed spans 10' wide and 11' long with a height of 8'. The purpose of a steel frame is to strengthen the tool shed's wind resistance while helping it last longer. The wall panelling will be made of tongue and groove wood, giving it a nice look, while the roof and floor will be paneled with OSB boards.

One of my biggest intentions in building the tool shed is to help support the Temple's vision. This tool shed is just one of many new buildings coming to the farm. The Temple's goal is to build a bigger and newer Temple right where the farm is currently located.
Building this tool shed will not only help the temple reach its goal but also help bring temple devotees together while supporting the community around us. Being a Hindu and living resident in the Bay Area, it makes me feel lucky to be able to give back to my culture and community.
Donating to this project will give you the same feeling and give others a chance to worship their culture while connecting with their friends and community.
Thank you so much for donating! If you would like to see how your money was used, please visit the Funds so Far page to see where your money went to.
If you would like to see some images and updates once the construction begins, come back to this site and check out the blog posts. Thank you again!
