Chapter Gathering Saturday September 14th

Doors will be open by 10am, Jeremy MacDonald will talk about propeller technology after a short bout of announcements.

Bring your own coffee, the big pot seems to be broken. Small pots can be made but might not keep up with any demand.

Saturday July 13 @ 9:00

People interested in helping the chapter be the best it can be are welcome to come to our quarterly business meeting. EAA 119's Board will be meeting before our monthly chapter gathering at 9:00 to discuss the items on the agenda. The agenda and all other documents for this meeting can be found under the Chapter Board tap at the top of the page. Hope to see some of you there.

Fire In the Sky

Come out to the Watsonville Airport Open House Fire in the Sky event! Performances include skydivers, R/C aircraft demos, formation flyover, jet dragster, and of course... fireworks! Gates open 18:00, show starting 18:30-22:00.

Kern Valley Fly-In (L05)

The Kern Valley Fly-In is happening July 6-7. Bring camping gear and plan on a fun night around the camp fire. There are spectacular camp grounds with showers on site, as well as a restaurant on the south end of the field and a great micro brewery just a few miles up the road. Camping fee is $20 and can be paid in advance at http://www.kernvalleyairport.com/ or in person.

The Ford Tri-Motor was in Watsonville!

We had a great time hosting the Liberty Museum of Port Clinton Ohio's Ford TriMotor. Thanks to everyone who came out to ride this piece of aviation history, gawk at its size, and help out with the crowd control, feeding, and passenger herding.

Special thanks to Pat and Steve from EAA. Pat knew how to run the operation, kept us on point and kept the passengers and money under tight control! Steve got to fly this wonderful airplane but then also spent hours answering endless questions from the stream of people he flew and even those who gawked. Great Job!
