Dylan Gowans

I am a PhD economist with Finance Canada, where I am part of the Evaluation and Research Group in the Tax Policy Branch.

I am a macroeconomist by training who is interested in economic questions with a strong policy focus. I currently study issues related to Canada's productivity performance, and housing affordability.

I received my PhD from the University of Toronto in 2023.

My PhD research dealt with economic inequality and its effects on company profits.
