Summary: Dyadix stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. The only network activity occurs when you explicitly use AI features with your own API keys.
We do not collect any information.
Dyadix is a privacy-first task management application. All task data, settings, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database. There are no user accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no telemetry of any kind.
Your data is stored locally on your device in the following ways:
Tasks, subtasks, tags, and dependencies are stored in a local SQLite database on your device.
App settings (AI provider preference, home city/country) are stored in standard Android SharedPreferences on your device.
API keys (if you choose to use AI features) are stored in Android EncryptedSharedPreferences on your device. These keys are encrypted at rest using the Android Keystore system.
No data is stored on external servers. If you uninstall the app, all data is permanently deleted from your device.
Dyadix makes zero network requests during normal operation. The only exceptions are:
AI API calls (optional): If you choose to use AI features (task decomposition, refinement, email drafting, etc.), the app sends requests to either the Anthropic (Claude) API or OpenAI API, depending on your configuration. These calls are made only when you explicitly tap an AI action button. The data sent includes the task title, notes, and relevant context needed for the AI to process your request.
Connection test: When you tap "Test Connection" in Settings, the app sends a minimal test request to verify your API key works.
AI features are strictly opt-in and require you to provide your own API key. The app never contacts any server without your explicit action.
Dyadix requests the following Android permissions:
Internet (INTERNET): Required only for optional AI API calls. No data is sent without your explicit action.
Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Used only for the optional voice input feature, which uses Android's built-in speech recognition to convert your voice to text for task entry. Audio is processed by Android's on-device or system speech recognizer and is not sent to Dyadix servers (we have none).
If you choose to use AI features, your task data is sent to the AI provider you configure:
Anthropic (Claude API): Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy
OpenAI (GPT API): Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy
These services are optional. You can use Dyadix fully without any AI features and without any network activity whatsoever.
We do not share any data with anyone. Period. We have no servers, no databases, no analytics platforms, and no advertising networks. Your data exists only on your device.
Dyadix does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is suitable for all ages.
Export: You can export all your tasks as a JSON file from Settings at any time.
Deletion: Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all data. You can also delete individual tasks, or use the export feature to back up before uninstalling.
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since Dyadix does not collect any data, material changes to this policy are unlikely.
