Region VIII Scholarships
Each year multiple scholarships are awarded to members of Region VIII to recognize their academic excellence and leadership qualities on their campus. These scholarships are awarded from the Region VIII chapter scholarship account (CSA) and decided by a committee including the Regent. Region gr8 scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize outstanding Delta Chi men in Region VIII. It will be awarded twice annually, one each semester (fall and spring), in May and December.
Established to recognize the “whole man”, the ideal recipient will be an active collegiate Delta Chi member that consistently is involved in his chapter and embodies the brotherhood we believe in as Delta Chis.
Jim Marascio Commitment to Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship is started to recognize brother Jim Marascio for his persistence in service and mentorship to Delta Chi for over 25 years. Started by James and Julie Baggatta for Jim’s mentorship from James’ time as undergrad in which Jim personally mentored James from academic probation up to 2 final years consisting of Dean’s List and a 4.0 semester and for his commitment to Coaching James through professional and personal developments.
Requirements
Must have served or be currently serving as a chairman or executive officer
Must have a GPA of 3.5 or have had a semester to semester GPA improvement of .5 (example fall 3.0, spring semester 3.5).
Be involved in at least 1 other club/ organization on campus.
Brandon Russell Excellence in Brotherhood Scholarship
This scholarship is started to honor brother Brandon Russell of the Appalachian State Chapter of Delta Chi 94’ for his commitment to giving back to the brotherhood on personal and philanthropic levels and his involvement as Chaplain , Service Chairman, Rush Chairman, B, and A during his tenure at Appalachian State which included 2 President cup titles.
Requirements
Must have served or currently be serving as a chairman of a committee (social, AMC, community service etc)
Holds or has held an executive office position
Has or had a little brother
Currently in good standing in regards to all financial obligations to IHQ and his chapter
