Ambush was a human called John Slater and was working as a construction worker along with Jack and Rush in his former life, After Rush's death, His boss Dutton Powell just didn't cared at all and choosed to make John and Jack work more harder, jack also tried to talk with him but their boss just refuses making them keeping working too hard or else no money and fired, until one night, john killed his boss with jack help and buried the body of their former boss, the causes of death are smoke inhalation after Ambush killed his boss and set his house on fire trying to cancel the proofs along with Jack's help but both ended up getting stuck in the burning house.
After death John reborn as sinner entity with jack and still is unknow what job they had before the Hotel Limbo at the moment, and when they meet GL john chooses to sign a contract with jack, so josh went to live and work in the hotel as a Concierge as Ambush with Jack and living in the hotel too.
