September 2025 Newsletter

Hi Star Babies,
Strange how, in moments of quiet contemplation, the movement of one second in time can conjure up feelings so different from the second before. This thought ran through my mind as I typed the word ‘September’ at the head of this month’s newsletter.
A second later, the phrase ‘a wrinkle in time’ also slipped in. That phrase was the actual title of a science fantasy novel by Madeleine L ’Engle, completed in 1960.
I read this book some years ago and loved it!
It was rejected by twenty-six publishers as being too different. First, it featured a female protagonist, unusual in that day, and secondly, it was considered “too overtly evil for young people”. Questions arose whether it should be classified for young readers or adult readers. L ‘Engle was disappointed when it was finally classified as young adult science fantasy.
🌟In 1962, that book, A Wrinkle in Time, won the Newbury Medal, the Sequoyah Book Award, the Lewis Carrol Shelf Award, and was runner-up for the Hans Christian Anderson Award. It inspired films, and a theatrical film produced by the Walt Disney Company.
As of 2025, A Wrinkle in Time has sold over ten million copies.
I’m not sure why this information is important right now except…perhaps it suggests we should iron out the wrinkles in our lives.
And perhaps too, this story tickles that rare Saturn/Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries ♈ that is unfolding in our starry heavens before the world’s eye even as we read these paragraphs. We are sensing this need to shed major elements of our past and begin a new phase in our lives when we take charge of our ‘lost’ dreams,
regardless of what others say.
That one second change above led me on this circuitous mental journey.
With that uplifting thought in mind, let’s see what our heavenly friends Neptune and Saturn have to offer this month.
Learn how to begin to interpret the messages from the stars with my book, The Beginner’s Guide to Astrology: Class Is In Session. The simple instructions written in a conversational style make it easy and fun to learn. (A copy of your birth chart is available upon request.)
We start September 1st with Neptune still in Retrograde motion and Saturn turning Retrograde on the same day. You’ve been doing some ‘serious wishful’ (Saturn/Neptune) thinking since July 2025, mulling over questions like ‘how do I start again?’ or ‘how do I make my dreams come true?’ This ‘mulling’ is essential now because Neptune is beckoning you with dreams of what can be while Saturn keeps those wheels turning, constructing a plan.
As serious Saturn backs into Pisces ♓ for a trip over familiar ground which began last spring when you had the chance to get all your ducks in a row, and hopefully you’re continuing to do that…so that by November 27th when Saturn turns Direct, you’ll have made the necessary corrections and are ready to move forward with a well-thought-out plan.
Saturn will leave Pisces ♓around the middle of February 2026 and enter Aries ♈, the sign of new beginnings for the first time in 29 years, magnified by its partner Neptune, who will have fully entered Aries the month before for the first time in 165 years, forming the much-anticipated Saturn/Neptune conjunction at 0° degrees Aries that the astrologers are talking about as a time of ‘walls collapsing and heroes rising’.
While that is in progress in the background, on September 2nd, Mercury moves into the sign Virgo ♍ where the Sun already took up residence on August 23rd. Gather the facts and organize your Virgo house, make sure you’ve polished the silver and changed the guest towels, because new thoughts are moving in and need a clean space in which to operate.
The Sun and Mercury in Virgo ♍ will square Jupiter, off and on, the first couple of weeks so don’t overdo rubbing those Virgo worry beads in your search for perfection.
On my website at dustybunker.com, with just a click you can order a copy of Numerology and the Divine Triangle, (co-authored with Faith Javane) which uses the Pythagorean triangle as the blueprint of your life. Considered the authoritative text on numerology, it includes for the first time a synthesis of numerology, astrology, and the Tarot.
Wild and woolly Uranus turns Retrograde in Gemini ♊on September 6th. Uranus, newly in this sign this year for the first time in 84 years, is giving you a taste of where the excitement and sudden changes will occur in your life over the next seven years. Uranus is in the midst of a brief visit to Gemini ♊ from last July to this upcoming November 8th.
Gemini is an intellectual air sign therefore the desire for freedom and excitement are titillating you now. You may find yourself restless, entertaining ideas and big changes you would never have been open to before in the Gemini area of your chart.
On November 8th, Uranus will return to Taurus ♉ for a final six-month review of Taurus issues.
Finally, next year, when Uranus turns Direct around February 4th, still in your Taurus house ♉, you will have the opportunity to make decisions about your old way of handling events in that area of your life and may, as a result, find it’s time to let go of some of the old baggage so that when Uranus finally enters Gemini on April 27, 2026, you will be free to experience the mental/intellectual/inventive freedom inherent in Gemini for the next six+ years.
Notice that four major planets are moving into new areas of exploration around this same period of time. What are the odds that Uranus’s 84-year cycle, Neptune’s 165-year cycle, Pluto’s 248-year cycle, and Saturn’s 29/29-year cycle would all change signs in these few years from 2023-2026?
These planetary transitions mark the beginning of epochal change for our world. Keep in mind that an Age of 2,160 years is often considered an epochal change. An Age marks the beginning of defining distinctive periods of change in history, built upon previous Ages.
A review of the past few Ages shows how one Age is built upon the previous Age and reveals the Age we are currently in now.
The Middle Ages or Medieval Ages (the 5th to late 15th centuries), known as a time of cultural stagnation, economic decline and lack of written records following the fall of the Western Roman Empire, laid the foundation for The Renaissance (the 14th to 17th centuries) when new ideas about art, science, and literature prevailed along with social change and innovations, which in turn laid the foundation for The Age of Reason/Enlightenment (the 17th and 18th centuries) characterized by reason, empirical evidence, individual liberty, and religious freedoms which laid the foundation for the current Age of Revolutions.
(Geroge Lawson, associate professor at the London school of Economics and Political Science, author of numerous erudite books on revolutions, has termed this current period as The Age of Revolutions 🌟which began with, amongst others, the American Revolution in the 1770s.)
Note the number of uprisings today when sometimes hundreds of thousands of unhappy citizens rise up against their ruling autocratic governments, demanding freedom.
No wonder we’re all so antsy and confused!
However, do trust the heavens. They know it’s transition time for this planet of ours; out with the old and in with the new. The cosmic garbage truck is doing double duty now, clearing the way during this Age of Revolutions.
Numerology and Your Future: the Predictive Power of Numbers (2nd edition), reveals the importance of timing and how to use your number cycles to plan ahead. Published in 2019, this book also reveals for the first time a world-shifting repeating cycle that will occur from 2025 to 2033.
Back on planet Earth, September 7th is the Full Corn Moon 🌕. According to natives of the northeastern United States, September is the month of peak production, when farmers can work late into the night by the light of this bright Moon. Corn, pumpkins, squash, beans and wild rice are the staples ready for gathering which will supply them food through the long winter months.
In the mid-Atlantic seaboard, the Cherokee name for this moon is the Full Nut Moon when chestnuts, hazelnuts, acorns, and pecans are gathered.
Japan celebrates this month through Tsukimi, which means ‘moon viewing’. They honor and appreciate the beauty of the brilliant Autumn moon in the clear night sky from the comfort of their homes or in outdoor settings.
Also on September 7th, we will experience the Full Moon at 15° degrees of Pisces, which will be a Total Lunar Eclipse. 🌑
A total Lunar Eclipse is when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon. blocking the Sun’s light from reaching the Moon. Because the Moon appears reddish due to the scattering of sunlight by the Earth’s atmosphere, it’s called a Blood Moon. A Total Eclipse, of course, is when the Moon falls totally within the Earth’s shadow. 🌑
This total eclipse is happening in your Pisces ruled house, affecting the 15° range in the mutable signs Pisces ♓, Gemini ♊, Virgo ♍, and Sagittarius ♐, opening the door for emotional release. A total eclipse indicates a time of endings, awareness, and major change; a time to confront unresolved issues which can lead to healing and growth and a greater understanding of oneself, a time to embrace rebirth.
This Full Moon chart reveals optimistic Jupiter in nurturing Cancer ♋ trine the sensitive Moon in Pisces ♓ which provides a strong support system, especially involving those who tend to be more nurturing by nature.
Mercury in Virgo ♍is approaching the Sun in Virgo and will join that celestial star around Saturday, the 13th.
At this time, don’t take the comments from others too seriously. You may be extra sensitive when Mercury (communication) conjuncts (joins) the Sun (your ego), suggesting to you that every comment is a personal attack. (This is true of the Sun conjunct Mercury in every sign of the zodiac.)
Tip: If you were born with this conjunction, try to remember that comments from others aren’t always personal. It helps.)
On September 18th, Mercury enters the air sign Libra ♎, a time when you tend to be more intellectually objective; you examine both sides of ‘everything’. On the 19th, Mercury’s conversations and ideas in fair-minded Libra ♎ will then flow to (intense, transforming) Pluto in (open-minded) Aquarius ♒. Those Mercury conversations and ideas will also flow to (sudden, unusual) Uranus in (curious, intellectual) Gemini.
This combination of Mercury trine Uranus trine Pluto is called a Grand Air Trine.
(A Grand Trine occurs when three planets form a perfect triangle 🔺 in signs of the same element. There can be Grand Air Trines, Grand Fire trines, Grand Water trines, and Grand Earth Trines. )
A Grand Air Trine sets up strong communication skills that flow easily and is often considered lucky.
Perhaps you’ll come up with a brilliant idea like twelve-year-old Rebecca Young from Glasgow whose face appears on Time Magazine’s latest issue “Girls Of The Year”. Rebecca entered the UK Primary Engineer Competition and out of 70,000 entrants won first prize for her solar powered blanket which she invented to help the homeless people she saw on the streets stay warm during Glascow’s 20° below zero nights.
Her notes and diagrams for this invention, handwritten in a school notebook, look almost like doodles, some in balloons and in cartoon like sketches, and other scribbled notes that often occur when one is thinking. Rebecca Young also plays drums. You can find her on YouTube pounding the drum skin.
On the other hand~~~this is Libra ♎, after all~~~a Grand Air Trine can cause a disconnect, a feeling of being stuck, where your thoughts are on a merry-go-round, going round and round, while you analyze the same things over and over in your head without any resolution. There may be some sleepless nights around September 19th with Libra in the Grand Air Trine mix. Where’s a square when you need it?
Yes, Libra does struggle with decisions. I know. I have Venus in Libra in the third house of making decisions. That’s why I go over this newsletter a gazillion and one times each month. To compound that affliction, I have Mars in perfection driven Virgo’s house. I can’t help it.
Time to move on…
On this same day, September 19th, after the Grand Air Trine, the Moon enters Virgo ♍ at 8:23am followed by Venus entering Virgo at 8:39am for the next 24 days.
Let’s unpack this…
Rather than mulling over solutions that appear to have no solutions, grab onto a pen and scribble the curious ideas that suddenly pop into your head, doodle, make diagrams like Rebecca Young did, let your mind guide you. You have help from the Grand Air Trine 🔺 that occurred after midnight.
When the Moon enters Virgo ♍ at 8:23 am on this day, stimulating your subconscious, perhaps you remember a dream, you are restless, preparing to do some work. When Venus pops into Virgo ♍six minutes later, the magical fairies provide creative insights and will continue to do so through October 14th meaning, it’s time to get to work on your dreams using the resources in your Virgo house.
Astrology’s Hidden Aspects: Quintiles and Sesquiquintiles, reveals the importance of the 72° quintile and the 108° sesquiquintile which the Egyptians called the “sacred golden bowls”. Gathered through thirty years of research into sacred geometry, Masonic manuscripts, religious texts, Egyptian symbols and more, these aspects should be considered among the most important in the lexicon of astrology. (Astrology’s Hidden Aspects is built upon my 1990 book: Quintiles and Tredeciles: The Geometry of the Goddess.)
Now…eclipses come in pairs. We experienced a Lunar Eclipse on September 7th therefore, on September 21st, we will witness another eclipse, this one a Solar Eclipse.
This month’s Solar Eclipse is at 29° Virgo ♍.
In astrology, the last full degree in every sign~~~29°00’00” to 29°59’59”~~~is called the anaretic degree. An anaretic degree is like a doorway between two signs which can create tension as the mind vacillates between the past and the future, making decisions more difficult so…there is an urgency here to take care of old business and chart a new direction. These decisions can be transformational.
In this Solar Eclipse chart, the Sun and Moon at 29° Virgo ♍ oppose Saturn in Pisces ♓. In this opposition, Saturn clarifies all one-on-one encounters (that’s you and the ‘other’, whomever or whatever that may be). Reconciliation, compromise, balance, and peace is up for scrutiny.
With Mercury close by at 6° Libra ♎ trine (flowing to) Pluto, you mind is ready to dig deep into the underlying issues where you could discover information that could solve many problems.
On September 22nd, the Sun enters Libra ♎ for 30 days. This is your repeating Personal Solar Calendar, the house where you need to show up every year at the same time. This is where you let your Sun (your true self) shine, where you need ‘to be’, and maybe where you will be noticed. Can’t hide your light under a barrel here. If you’re keeping track, add this house to your Solar Calendar.
(Tip: go online, type in~~~meaning of the 12 houses in astrology. Then you’ll know where in your life the action, the aspects, are happening.)
Let’s talk about the sign Scorpio ♏.
You were born with Scorpio ruling one of the houses in your birth chart. Know that you will always feel a bit intense and feel the need to control that area of your life. About once every two years, when Mars goes marching in, that intensity and need to control is magnified.
Well, on the morning of September 22, Mars does just that, full of vim and vigor. Mars is your sexual energy, your drive, your dynamic, adventurous, take-charge behavior. That fiery planet is activating your Scorpio ♏ house from now through November 4th. That’s 44 days, folks.
On Wednesday morning, the 24th, Mars and the Moon will both square Pluto around 8:00am. Do not lose your cool. Do be careful driving and doing anything else you would be doing that morning because intense emotions can get out of hand. Avoid road rage, arguments, and for some reason, I want to say, be careful with or around fire. Basically, be alert during the few days surrounding that date.
Mars in Pluto can dredge up old angers and even disrupt current encounters. You know the red-faced cartoon figure 😡 with steam erupting from its head…keep that picture in mind.
On the other hand, if you’re a detective or researcher searching for some deeply buried information or clues, you will most likely find what you’re looking for. Again, stay cool.
By Friday, the 26th, the Moon makes five aspects to the big planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, indicating exciting and flowing energy, with a little Uranian surprise tucked in as the Moon leaves Scorpio ♏ and enter Sagittarius ♐.
I can’t tell you what the surprise is. I can tell you the surprise will involve your Gemini ♊ ruled house, but I can’t tell you what the surprise will be because we’re talking about Uranus, which is, of course, the totally unpredictable planet.
AQUARIAN NEWS:
The Seattle Times: August 14, 2025: Robot Games: First ever Inaugural World Humanoid Robot Games kicked off in China opening with hip-hop and martial arts. More than 500 humanoid robots from 16 countries, including the United States, Germany and Japan, were competing in sports including soccer, running, and boxing.
SCIENCEALERT.COM, July 1, 2025: The astronomers at the Asteroid Terrestrial-Impact Last Alert System detected an object, named SI/Atlas, zooming 130,000 miles per hour toward our Sun. Controversial Harvard scientist, Avi Loeb, says there are signs that this ‘artificially constructed object’ is from extra-terrestrial beings.
Cambridge University Press: August 19,2025: New words: 6,000 new words have been added to The Cambridge Dictionary this year. Some examples are skibidi, which can mean anything; delulu, short for delusional; and broligarchy, groups of rich and powerful men.
For next year’s edition, I’m going to submit the word ‘sisoligarchy’ (pronounced sis-oligarchy), which indicates groups of rich and powerful women.
And, of course, there’s Time Magazine’s “Girl of The Year”: 12-year-old Rebecca Young, newly born in this Aquarian Age.
Speaking of the future…
…I leave you with these lines from Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s book, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, published in 1865:
Alice laughed. “There’s no use trying,” she said. “One can’t believe in impossible things.”
“I daresay you haven’t had much practice” said the Queen of Hearts. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
So, star babies, in this Aquarian age, it seems we will all have to start believing in many impossible things before breakfast.
Sending cosmic hugs to you all~~~💖💖
