Hi Star Babies,
The spooky month of ghosts and goblins and creepy spiders is upon us, sparking estimated Halloween sales of 11.6 billion dollars.
Speaking of spiders~~~ those squiggly lines are me shivering! ~~~did you know that the Peruvian spider makes copies of itself, without the use of a 3-D Printer?
The spider’s survival strategy uses leaves, dead insects, and silk to create a decoy that looks identical to itself, although clothed in a ghastly white color (like a Halloween ghost). But it’s good enough to fool predators (and even a few researchers momentarily).
The decoy allows the spider a few precious second to stay hidden or to escape from predators like birds and other hunters. The article states: ‘…this spider is a powerful example of animal intelligence and adaptation that proves that in the wild sometimes creativity is the best defense’. Do look for the photo. It really is spooky!
As we slide into October, we find aggressive Mars in Scorpio ♏waiting for us at 5° Scorpio. Mars in Scorpio is the warrior who never gives up fighting the good fight; their courage is indisputable. Hear the war cries and the sabers rattling lately? Mars has been in Scorpio since September 22nd and will continue its intense journey through November 3rd.
This Mars energy supplies you with the intensity and drive to achieve your goals and is currently operating in your Scorpio ruled house where deep emotional issues arise. Ambition, passion, and impatience are key words here.
As mentioned occasionally in past newsletters, when Mars is in a challenging or intense position as in Scorpio, the best advice is to drive carefully…avoid road rage 😡 and think before you act. I know that’s hard for the fire signs~~Aries ♈, Leo ♌, Sagittarius ♐~~and any planets placed therein.
However, now that you’ve read this information, it’s in your subconscious mind and may cause you to pause a second before doing or acting during Mars journey through Scorpio this month, and that second can make a difference.
Case in point: A family member is an auto mechanic. Because Mars was setting off a situation in his chart, I suggested he be careful during a few specific dates.
One day during that period, he was at work, bent over a car’s engine when suddenly, for no reason, he pulled back from the engine. A second later the motor caught fire; he escaped serious facial burns. He said that the warning must have triggered his response. BTW: Mars rules fire.

The Full Moon 🌝 at 14° Aries ♈occurs on October 6th. This Full Moon challenges the mid-degrees of the Cardinal Signs: Aries ♈, Cancer ♋, Libra ♎, and Capricorn ♑. (Remember: challenges get things done!)
All Full Moons~~when the Sun opposes the Moon~~shed light on the results of efforts stemming from actions taken two weeks earlier.
This Full Moon in independent Aries ♈faces the Sun in diplomatic Libra ♎ revealing whether agreements have incorporated the sovereignty of the individual as well as the needs of the public.
Because the Moon tightly sesquiquintles Jupiter and the Sun tightly sesquiquintles Pluto, this Full Moon can ‘lift the public into higher awareness’ while ‘exposing the dark underbelly of society’ when it comes to the aforementioned agreements.
The two quotes above, which come from my book: Astrology’s Hidden Aspects: Quintiles and Sesquiquintiles (2018), are a perfect description of the need for the public, under this Full Moon, to examine the fine print in any contracts~~personal, business, or global~~for hidden agendas.
October’s Full Moon on the 6th is called the Harvest Moon this year because it is closest to the Autumnal Equinox. The Native Americans gathered crops for storage under the light of this huge moon. October’s Full Moon is also called the Moon of the Falling Leaves because of the abundance of colored leaves that drifted from the trees laying a brilliant carpet over the ground.
Mercury enters Scorpio♏ on October 7th, adding mental intensity to assertive Mars. Your mind is powerful this month. Consider what you want to say and do in your secretive Scorpio house. You can keep it a secret; you don’t have to tell. That’s what a secret is. Just be sure your Halloween costume doesn’t tell. People often dress in costumes on this day that reflect something hidden within themselves.
On October 13th, the tiny but all-powerful Pluto turns Direct indicating a shift from the internal dialogue that’s been going on inside you head since the beginning of May this year, specifically the need for a major change in your life.
This 13th is the beginning of speaking clearly and directly to others about what’s on your mind for the purpose of eliminating the roadblocks in your life, keeping that intense Mars in Scorpio in your thoughts. This dialogue takes place in your Aquarian ♒ ruled home.
On the 21st, the New Moon 🌒peeks out from 28° Libra ♎. This charming and diplomatic Libra pair must work ‘mind-in mind’ to unite the will and ego of the Sun with the emotions and security needs of the Moon. This is the beginning of a two-week journey in your Libra home.
This pair are in a four-degree square to expansive, happy-go-lucky Jupiter in Cancer ♋ which can lead to popularity, but also careless planning because of Jupiter’s tendency, when square, towards overconfidence and laziness.
Reminds me of the 1930 song, Lazy River by Hoagy Carmichael and Sidney Arodin: ‘…linger in the shade of a kind old tree, throw away your troubles, dream a dream with me…’.
Granted there is a time for ‘lazing around’ but not if you’re working for the coming rewards due on the Full Moon in Taurus on November 5th.
Plans made during these next two weeks will put your efforts under the klieg lights of society when the Full Moon 🌝at 13° Scorpio appears, as noted, on November 5th.
So, do you want to dream under the shade of a kind old tree or work mind-in-mind with the “other’ in your life? I won’t wax poetically anymore, at least for a while.
Which door will you choose? Door Number One or Door Number Two? Reminds me of ‘The Lady, or the Tiger?’ the short story by Frank R. Stockton (1882) about choices determining fate.

This is Your Personal Solar Calendar because the Sun will be here every year at this same time. This is happening in your Scorpio ruled house. You might mark these days on your standard calendar, so you’ll know when to bask in ‘just being’.
On October 29th, Mercury takes a break from Scorpio intensity and moves into the sign of the ‘traveling man’, the enthusiastic Sagittarius ♐, just in time for Halloween.
BTW: Sagittarius rules the hips, and the hips were made for walking and that’s just what they’ll do…sounds like an old song…thus the ‘traveling man’ description above. BTW again: Sagittarius is a male sign.
Halloween on the 31st 🎃 is one of the most celebrated and fun-loving holidays for young and old alike, rooted in the Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced “sow-in”) some 3,000 years ago in what is now Ireland, the United Kingdom, and northern France.
Samhain celebrated the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. The Celts believed that the veil between the night of October 31st and November 1st was the thinnest, allowing spirits to return to Earth. They built bonfires to honor the Sun and to ward off evil spirits, and they shared food with family and friends, often potatoes and apples 🍎 from the harvest, and offered rituals for their protection and prosperity through the long dark winter.
However you celebrate Halloween, you have the Celts to thank for it.
Readers have asked what the houses mean: best to go online and ask for 'the meaning of the 12 houses' and also for 'the 12 zodiacal glyphs'. With this at hand, you'll be able to place the monthly transits in your chart for a better understanding of where and how the planetary energies are affecting your chart/your life.
Now…let’s examine the ‘major’ planets, major in the sense they cover longer periods of time. The major planets are the larger tapestry into which the threads of the monthly astrological knowledge is woven, creating what you might call ‘a coat of many colors’, your aura, which becomes more vibrant with each passing month.
The following section features the current positions of the presiding ‘major’ planets.
Expansive Jupiter circles your chart once about every 12 years. It is now in midst of rolling through the water sign Cancer ♋from June 2025 to June 2026. Look to your Cancer house to see where big plans should be in process to ensure that support systems are available for your future wellbeing and for what else resides there. Examine events in your life that occurred about 12 years ago, and you’ll know where the growth and benefits and cautions about overconfidence are happening in your life.
Let's talk about Serious Saturn who circles your chart once every 28-30 years. You should pay attention here every month because Saturn’s purpose is to help you construct strong foundational supports for the future building of your life. Saturn does that by visiting one house at a time for a few years; right now, Saturn has been visiting your Pisces ♓home for the past two years and will leave in February 2026.
This month starts off with Saturn still in Retrograde motion, which means this planet is moving backward into your Pisces house until the end of November giving you the chance to review whatever is still lingering in that Pisces house that needs adjustments.
You can’t fudge it because Saturn is the record keeper who knows all your past actions and keeps track. Saturn rewards you in exact proportion for the amount of time you invest.

If you want to find that stocking hung from your fireplace...or wood stove, or wherever that jolly guy manages to squeeze through...filled with the tools necessary to do your work, then hop to it! Take stock of your Pisces house.
On November 27th, when Saturn turns Direct (moves forward), you have the next few months, using those tools to build a structurally strong Piscean house for the future, which is necessary because other planets will visit you there occasionally, and you’ll want your floors, countertops and pool tables level and the vertical walls and uprights plumbed for load bearing strength.
Which reminds me of plumbing the depths…I know…but this is interesting…Samuel Clemens launched his career as a riverboat captain on the Mississippi River in 1857. He plumbed the depths of the river to be sure the water was deep enough for the passing of the steamboats he piloted. A marked lead line was dropped into the water to measure depth so the boats would not get mired in the mud. ‘Mark’ is the second mark on the lead line; ‘twain’ is two fathoms for total of 12 feet. So, the call-- 'Mark twain' --shouted from the deck meant safe passage for the steamboat. Remind you of someone?
Yes, Samuel Clemmens, author of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, used Mark Twain as his pseudonym when he wrote about his experiences as a riverboat pilot on the Mississippi River.
So, to get back to your Piscean house~~Pisces is a water sign, water, river~~~you see how my mind works. Yes. Make sure your Piscean house is structurally sound by February 14, 2026, when Saturn moves into the sign Aries♈ for the next two plus years.
A week later, on February 21, 2026, Saturn joins Neptune at 0° Aries.
Astrologer Mike Levesque, using the Solar Fire Program, found that the last time these two planets were conjunct at 0° Aries was March 2,4361BCE.
We are currently experiencing previews of this now as Saturn and Neptune circle each other, in and out of the sign Aries. We are in the midst of new era of transformation and renewal which will influence the world culturally, politically, religiously, and economically. Changes of this magnitude do take time.

This planet full of surprises will cut the Gordian knots in your Gemini ruled house.
Greek legend has it that in Ancient Greece, around 333BCE, Alexander the Great entered the city of Gordium where he came upon a cart tied with a knot said impossible to untangle. After trying the conventional methods, he gave up, then suddenly drew his sword and, with one swift slash, cut right through the knot.
Today, the phrase ‘cut the Gordian knot’ refers to using unusual and inventive methods for an immediate solution to a complicated issue. That’s how Alexander solved his knotty problem.
Currently Uranus is giving you just a quick taste of its ‘unsticking’ antics’ in your Gemini ruled world from July 8th to about November 10th at which time unpredictable Uranus returns to Taurus for the last hurrah.
Taurus can be set in its ways, so it needs the extra 'unsticking of problems' before it finally untangles itself from the Taurean knots and finally reenters the witty, charming, intellectual, curious, social sign Gemini in April 2026 for its years long journey to May of 2033.
Look to your Gemini house for ups and downs, surprises, socializing, witty repartee, and releases of the blocks in your life in that house.
Spiritual Neptune, who circles your chart once every 164 years, is leaving Pisces and entering Aries♈ for the next fourteen years. Neptune in Aries means individuals choose their own spiritual paths, adjusting to their personal needs, rather than worshipping under an established hierarchy. Neptune was mentioned above when noting its conjunction with Saturn at 0° Aries, indicating a powerful era shifting union. Once again, look to your Aries house to feel the effects of these two planets changing signs at the very same time.
Powerful Pluto, who circles your chart once every 248 years, rules the power of transformation and renewal through significant psychological cleansing, not only personally but globally. Through personally experiencing birth, death, sex, power, and control, hidden truths are revealed. Pluto has recently entered your Aquarian home ♒where it will reside for the next 20 years. Pluto in the sign Aquarius may see the resurrection of grassroots movement against powerful institutions. Will you be there?

CBSNews: 9/5/2025: Captured by the Hubble Space Telescope, only the third-known interstellar visitor, the 31/ATLAS comet with a growing tail of gas and dust is streaking through our solar system. NASA says it poses no threat to the Earth.
Yahoo News: 9-26-2025: India unveils a futuristic train: ‘Not just a technological leap, but a historic shift’. India is about to launch her first hydrogen-powered passenger train; the eight-car train uses a 1,600 HP hydrogen engine as opposed to diesel and will carry more than 2,600 passengers during its two daily round trips between cities. Engineers are excited because the hydrogen fuel cells produce only water vapor and heat instead of soot or temperature-raising carbon dioxide. Oxygen and on-board hydrogen combine to generate electricity with no toxic exhaust which means fewer greenhouse gases. The train produces almost zero pollution and is exceptionally quiet.
