March 2026 Newsletter

(dates and time ET)

Hi Star Babies,

Need a break from the news? Some quiet time away from chaos of the current world?

Understandable. Mars has spent the last 38 days in Aquarius ♒battling for justice and equality for all, so you are due for a respite.

Feisty Mars leaves the Aquarian fight on March 2nd and enters the gentle compassionate sign Pisces ♓where those Aquarian efforts will assimilate into the spiritual Piscean waters for the next 33 days. In the natural zodiacal wheel, this watery sign is where the karmic forces awaken.

Where is Mars in Pisces happening in your chart?

Let’s find out by first examining how your chart came to be.

“When you took your first breath on the day you were born, time paused at a specific place on the zodiacal wheel. That moment marks your Ascendant (also called your Rising Sign) which reveals how you see the world. This sign sits on your First House, the starting point of your chart. From there the signs flow in order counterclockwise around your wheel, forming your birth chart.

“In the natural zodiac, Pisces is the final house in the cycle of life. Because your chart begins with the sign on your Ascendant, Pisces may fall in any one of your twelve houses, depending on the time of day you were born.

"Therefore, when talking about Mars in Pisces, that transit is activating

a specific area of your life.”

(The above description of how your birth chart came to be was written by my lovely granddaughter-in-love Shaina Bunker, an engineer who is also interested in astrology. She wrote with such flowing clarity that I just had to quote her. Thank you, sweetie!)

Yes, transiting Mars in Pisces is activating a specific area of your life which, in this case, are those issues that are housed in your Pisces ruled home.

As I mentioned in an earlier newsletter, online you can find the symbols for the twelve signs on the zodiac as well as the meaning of the twelve houses. If you make a card with this information and keep it beside your birth chart as you read my newsletters, you will know where and how all ten planets are activating your chart. Do keep an eye on feisty Mars.

My book, The Beginner’s Guide to Astrology: Class Is in Session (published in 2017) was awarded the gold seal by COVR Visionary Awards in 2018. This prestigious organization recognizes excellence in the Mind/Body/Spirit marketplace each year, selecting winners from the best new products, including books. One winner is chosen in each of three categories--gold, silver, and bronze. You can pick up a copy of The Beginner’s Guide to Astrology online or at my website at dustybunker.com. (My publisher carries over 7,500 titles. No wonder I just happened to find out about the award this month.)

  Now…back to our heavenly business

Do you have your card at hand?

I suggest you keep an eye on Mars because that is where the action takes place in your life. Mars is the planet that says, “You must do something here.” When Mars transits (moves through) the sign Pisces ♓you need to navigate those waters with compassion and clarity so…turn on your fog lights!

Except…when Pisces rules the 12th house in your birth chart. In that house, you are immersed in a sort of float tank therapy, when the fog lights dim, and you assimilate the truths that your Mars’s past two-year journey around your chart has revealed to you.

Transiting Mars in the 12th house is setting the stage for the completion of Newton’s third law. You know the one:

“For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

There are at least 28 Bible verses expressing this same concept, one from Galatians 6:7: “…whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.”

(The three wise men, who followed the ‘star’ to Bethlehem were called Magi. These priests from Persia and Babylon were well versed in the study of astrology and astronomy).

Newton’s third law also works astrologically through the seeds planted under a new moon which come back in full force under the full moon when you see the results of your planting. When you finally ‘get it!’

Speaking of the heavens, here’s a quote from American lecturer, philosopher, minister, abolitionist, and poet Ralph Waldo Emerson, who led the Transcendentalist movement of the mid-19th century, a champion of individualism and critical thinking. “What you put into life is what you get out of it. It’s a simple law of the universe.”

“It’s a simple law of the universe.” Thank you, Waldo, for that heavenly quote. I’m talking about Waldo the Transcendentalist, not the main character in the animated cartoon series ‘Where’s Waldo’. That guy is the friendly traveler who wears a red and white striped shirt and solid blue pants…the same colors and design as the American flag…and embodies the spirit of exploration and problem solving. Hmm…

On March 2nd, slip on your water wings so you can float through the compassionate waters of your Piscean home for the next 33 days.

Check your handy card to find out which house Pisces rules in your chart. Your card will also explain what issues reside in that house so that you will know where and how to expend your energy in the most productive manner.

Happening now (2025-2033) is the fourth world-shifting Uranian cycle that I discovered back in 2020 which is explained in my book, Numerology and Your Future: The Predictive Power of Numbers. These repeating cycles began with the initial discovery of Uranus back in 1781. In this book, you can also use your past as a platform to plan for your future using your current cycles.

After this watery welcome, my friends, what are you doing today as you read this newsletter? What is your role during the opening of this epic period of history? Do follow Mars around your wheel every month because your actions (Mars) contribute to this new epic when, as predicted by the Saturn/Neptune conjunction, when ‘Saturn walls fall and Neptune heroes rise.’

Perhaps the epic begins with small acts of kindness like donating to an animal shelter, taking a lonely friend out for a ride, sharing your home-grown garden with neighbors and the food pantry, beginning a personal podcast to broadcast your truths, or just greeting others with a smile every day. Take note of how these acts make you feel and how others respond to you.

I know what you’re thinking, ‘Is she ever going to stop talking about Mars in Pisces? Enough already!”

It’s just that, after two pages of trying to impress upon you the importance of transiting Mars in your life, I thought you might need to be reminded where we started this newsletter way back when.

Reminder: we were at the beginning of the month when Mars entered Pisces for 33 days on March 2nd. Okay then…

On the next day, March 3rd, according to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, we greet the Full Worm Blood Moon, when earthworm casts begin to emerge from the ground, when the Robins return, and when the tapping of the maple trees begins, all signaling the end of winter.

However, this month’s Full Moon is a rare Lunar Eclipse which will cause the Moon to darken and turn a coppery red, thus the name Blood Moon. It appears in the sky at 13° Virgo.

Planets and/or angles around mid-degrees of Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces, and Gemini will be most affected by this eclipse however, we can learn lessons here.        The purpose of a Lunar Eclipse is to expose old patterns of behavior which can emerge through an unsettling event in your life which prompts you to search for change. Then, Eureka! A sudden event offers a breakthrough in consciousness, a moment of transformation and spiritual renewal, revealing a new path forward.

  Speaking of Full Moons…🌕...

If last month’s ‘off kilter’ Full Moon in Leo opposite Aquarius on February 1st is any indication of what can happen under Full Moons, we are in for some more trouble in March with a capital “T”. (Some actions may be ‘good trouble’, reminiscent of U.S. Representative John Lewis’s famous words.

Last month in subzero temperatures in Minneapolis, Minnesota, tens of thousands of voices were raised with a message of love for their neighbors, their communities, their state, and their country. After the fatal shooting of Renee Good, Alex Pretti, and others, their message was joined by peaceful demonstrators in day long protests of ‘good trouble’ across this nation, protests which are still active.

The chart for this month’s powerful Lunar Eclipse at 13° Virgo on March 3rd reveals the Moon in Virgo sextile Jupiter, indicating that large groups of people, working together, gather to emotionally support others, while the Sun trine Jupiter awakens the farsighted understanding that redemption is attained by reaching beyond self to help others. There is a ground swell happening in this country, from the world stage, as even some Olympic medalist winners have spoken out in support of this message.

The source of this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on March 3rd is the result of the seeds planted under February 17th New Moon. What did you plant then? What did the USA plant then? (Tensions between the US and Iran escalated.)

We will find out on March 3rd under the umbrella of the Lunar Eclipse Full Moon when, as noted earlier, Newton’s 3rd law kicks in. ‘For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction’. (Just heard early this morning on February 28th, while I was sending out the first group of newsletters, that the US and Israel launched a major attack on Iran. Now, as I send this group of emails, President Trump has announced that the Ayatollah was killed during the US/Israel bomb strikes on Iran. All this is occurring a few days before the March 3rd Lunar Eclipse Full Moon, and under its umbrella.)

     Deep breath...

On to Venus 💖who enters Aries on March 6th. Venus represents love but here, she is not a wilting flower, sweetly obedient, knowing her place. In Aries, she is the legendary female Amazon warrior of Greek legend attacking an enemy that wants her submission. She will fight for her freedom. (Recent archaeological findings suggest these Amazon women did exist.)

While marching through Aries, Venus will connect with Neptune and Saturn on March 7th and 8th firing up the ‘world consciousness changing Saturn/Neptune conjunction’ which began last February 20th.

Starting March 6th for this entire month, this Venus woman warrior bursts on the scene to embolden the women in this world to fight for their independence. You tangle with an Amazon at your peril.

Your significant other this month would be wise to think thrice about how he woos your favors. This holds true for anyone in your orbit seeking a connection and your approval.

What is Venus stirring up in your Aries house? Perhaps ‘good trouble’. Are you looking for new ways to express your love and desires? Perhaps now you’re exploring new ways to open yourself to love and new ways to fulfill your desires? Want to talk about it? Not now? Okay, maybe later.

Speaking of love, 💖💖 there are two famous people who expressed their deep devotion for their spouses but in diametrically different ways.

Poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning (considered as a candidate for poet laureate alongside Lord Tennyson in 1850) and current author James Patterson (whose book’s sales are among the largest in the world, including the Alex Cross series).

Elizabeth Barrett Browning wrote the exquisite poem that begins:

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height

My soul can reach when feeling out of sight

For the ends of being and ideal grace

(There are ten more lines. A must read for all romantics!)

                           *****************

And then there’s James Patterson’s response to his wife of 28 years:

“If you ever leave me, I’m going with you.”

                                 *****************

This one sentence by James Patterson always tickles me.

Patterson’s 9-words express his deep devotion to his wife just as Browning’s 127-words expressed her deep devotion to her husband.

I know, I’m really submerged in the watery romantic waters of Pisces.

However, now it’s time to wake up and dry off!

With a simple click online or on my website at dustybunker.com, you can own the classic Numerology and the Divine Triangle (co-authored with Faith Javane), which synthesizes, for the first time, numerology, astrology, and the Tarot. Over 180,000 copies now in print.

Rise and shine at 2:00am on March 8th for the Daylight Savings Time ritual of setting the clocks forward by one hour in the warmer months to extend daylight into evening. This ritual is observed in many countries with varying starting and ending dates. In the USA, efforts to legally adopt DST as the set time year-round have continued as late as The Sunshine Protection Act of 2025 but the act has not been incorporated into federal law (the supreme law of the land).

Until that happens, best to just get up and change those pesky clocks, that is, if you still have clocks that need to be changed…like your microwave oven, your stove clock, free standing clocks like your Grandmother’s Clock (on this clock, just halt the swinging pendulum for one hour, it’s easier).

However, if you forget to make this change and you’re enjoying your morning tea/coffee/hot chocolate on March 8th, and because a glance at the time on the stove or microwave still reads standard time, and you’re thinking you have an hour to get ready…well, surprise!…you’re going to be late for that appointment.

So, just get up and change the clocks the day before already…unless you do plan to attend to that ritual on March 8th at 2:00am. You can be sure Adrian Monk, of the tv series Monk, will be changing his clocks at precisely 2:00am.

Okay, I know you’re thinking, ‘Will she ever get back on track?” These newsletters are beginning to sound like casual conversations around my kitchen table about anything and everything with my friends…well, you are my friends so...there it is.

On another heavenly note, I’ve always considered the degree at which a planet turns either Direct or Retrograde a ‘Power Point’. Example: If you were running down the street and wanted to retrace your steps, you have to slow down before turning, meaning you are spending more time, more energy, in that area.

Just like you would slow down to turn, the degree at which a planet turns Retrograde or Direct, also slows down to turn, spending more time at that degree, thereby giving it more power.

(Of course, the planets don’t slow down and turn direction. This is from the Earth’s perspective. Always keep in mind that astrology is Earth-centered, and you are on the Earth are Earth-centered inside your chart! Pretty cool? Right?)

So, let’s talk about our biggest planet, Jupiter, you know the one that, if hollow, would fit 200 Earths inside. Well, it turns Direct at 15° Cancer on March 10th, meaning it’s time to start enacting those optimistic plans that you’ve been mulling over since last June 2025 when Jupiter entered Cancer for the first time in 12 years.

Jupiter is turning Direct at 15° which makes this a ‘power point’ in your chart. Middling degrees of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, and Aries will want to push forward because of the opportunities available. It can affect other planets in your chart through less powerful aspects. (As you know, Jupiter can be overly optimistic so keep that in mind and watch your waistline.)

Anyway, do think back to June 2025 because that’s when this Jupiter seed was planted.

Astrology's Hidden Aspects: Quintiles and Sesquiquintiles reveals the importance of the 72° quintile and the 108° sesquiquintile which the Egyptians called the sacred golden bowls. Gathered through thirty years of research into sacred geometry, Masonic manuscripts, religious texts, and Egyptians symbols, and more, these aspects should be considered among the most important in the lexicon of astrology.

Let’s lift off now to the New Moon on March 18th at 28° Pisces. The chart for this New Moon is close to what is called a bowl chart because the planets form a bowl shape within 30°. Almost a bowl chart because Pluto trails a bit behind.

This New Moon bowl chart is located on the right half of the chart, called the ‘western’ side, tapping the houses 4 through 9. These houses interact with others through home and family (4), love and children (5), work/service and health (6), partnerships (7), joint monies, commitments, major transformations (8), and philosophy and higher education (9).

You can see why this New Moon is committed to the welfare of others.

Positive optimistic Jupiter, who always does things in a big way in keeping with its girth, is the powerful locomotive pulling this train of planets counterclockwise through the western side of the chart. So, all should be merry and bright…right?

Wrong…in steps that fiery Amazon of Greek legend, Venus, clad in Aries armor, squaring off with Jupiter, challenging him to limit his largesse to the ‘western’ side of the chart for the good of others rather than for those who already have the wealth of Midas and are concerned only with personal needs.

Women are in a fighting mood. So, what could possibly happen under this Piscean♓ New Moon umbrella on March 18th?

Maybe Venus is angry because the U.S. House just passed the controversial SAVE American Act which could make it difficult for married women to vote by mandating proof of citizenship for voter registration in federal elections. A government-issued photo ID is required, backed by the birth certificate. This legislation could impact millions of Americans, especially women, who have changed their names due to marriage and other reasons, therefore their names do not match the names on their birth certificates. For various reasons, some birth certificates are hard to find or no longer exist.

Will this New Moon ignite more bands of Aries ‘dressed for battle’ women to join the ‘love uprisings’ against opposing forces. Mars is already in Pisces, stirring up fervor during these 33 days. Time will reveal the who and how of the events that occur then.

This month’s March 18th New Moon highlights your Pisces house.

On March 20th, the Sun enters Aries, the day of the Vernal Equinox (in the northern hemisphere) when day and night are approximately equal in length around the world. Equinox is derived from the Latin, aequus (meaning equal) and nix (meaning ‘night).

On this significant Vernal Equinox Day, Mercury turns Direct.

  Talk about new starts!

Mercury has just finished a lengthy internal investigation in Pisces (because of Mercury's Retrograde) which reminded humanity that there is a celestial law of karmic feedback as well as an earthly law, Newton’s 3rd law, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Now Mercury, turning Direct this day of the Vernal Equinox, March 20th, is ready to explain the effects of celestial karmic feedback for the world as the result of past actions.

Who’s been good out there? Raise your hands…✋

March 20th is also International Astrology Day.

My enduring thanks go to those who, in the mists of time…gazed into the star-studded night sky wondering how they, small creatures, fit within this vast universe. Because of their need to truly know, the illuminating and precious study of astrology was born. Over the millennia, suffering punishment (and death), they worked their craft behind closed doors due the suspicions, disbelief, and disdain of others. Yet they persisted, and their numbers are growing every year.

So, Happy Holiday, astrologers. You keep this art/science alive through sharing, writing, teaching, and consulting. I know of no other practice that can truly ‘know thyself’.

Back on planet Earth, I mean really settled down into the Earth, we welcome Venus into Taurus ♉ on March 30th, where she can finally hug the ground after her 24-day whirlwind in Aries. She can now indulge herself in Taurean sensual delights for the next 26 days.

Taurus desperately needs these delights to feel secure: like money, food, sexual freedom, things that feel good and taste good and smell good and look good (she is artistic, after all), and she does need her comfy Hobbit hole.

Taurus is the most stubborn sign in the Zodiac, hanging on for dear life to protect its needs. With Taurus, these aren’t ‘wants’; these are ‘needs.

BTW: What house does Taurus rule in your chart? Same needs reside there.

For some midnight reading under the covers, you could pick up (online) one, or two, or even all three of my mysteries: One Deadly Rhyme, The Two-timing Corpse, and Three O'Clock's Dark night.

REMINDERS:

The rare Saturn/Neptune conjunction is at one degree as the month of March opens its door. Speaking of opening doors, the article describing this rare conjunction when ‘Walls Fall and Heroes Rise’, by astrologer Maurice Fernandez which can be found in the June 2023 Capricorn issue of The Mountain Astrologer magazine, is a must read to understand the significance of this aspect.           Neptune takes 14 years to transit one sign while Saturn journeys through one sign about every year 2½ years therefore their meeting is brief at early degrees. However, together they have planted the seed for this change of global consciousness into the new Age.

The disruptive planet Uranus is at the tail end of its 7-year journey through Taurus, cleaning up the weaknesses and excesses in our Taurean comfort zone of things we ‘must have’.

It enters Aquarius on April 25th for the next seven years when the mind becomes unfettered, introduced to inventive ways of thinking, communicating, and caring for others.

The danger in these 7 years is the reliance on AI (artificial intelligence) when we let the machines do the thinking for us. Remember The Terminator film with Arnold, the ‘I’ll be back!’ guy.

Plus, water: Globally, AI data centers consume about 560 billion liters of water annually, the equivalent of 223,000 Olympic swimming pools, while the consumption of people is much lower. The rapid expansion of AI centers poses a threat to freshwater supplies worldwide.

Water is our most valuable resource. Without water, a human can live for about 3-7 days. Watch the water bills go up.

Plus, electricity: The massive electricity consumption of AI data centers is enormous. In 2023, in the USA alone, data centers consumed 176 terawatt hours of electricity. That same amount could power 16 million homes for an entire year. Watch the electric bills go up.

And then there’s Pluto, the most powerful of all the planets, who will spend the next 20 years in Aquarius as well, routing out weaknesses and holding those accountable who grab power for personal use and misuse new inventions, like AI, that try to control independent thinking and free speech.

That’s about it for this month…which is a lot, I know. Please take your time reading these newsletters. Think about the events that occur each month under the New and Full Moons (an occasional few are event producing eclipses), note the changing of the major planets, and listen to the planets’ messages which explain how this world is moving, bit by bit, into this New Era…when Saturn walls fall and Neptune dreamers, the heroes amongst us, rise.

Stay positive my friends and please send your healing vibes around this beautiful planet of ours.

Oodles of cosmic love coming your way~~~♥♥♥
