Hi Star Babies,
February 1st opens under a Full Moon at 13° Leo opposite the 13° Aquarian Sun.
You may find it surprising that, during the current social turmoil, the key word for the Leo/Aquarius polarity is love!
To begin this discussion, every full moon means the Moon sits opposite the Sun; the two Lights sit perfectly balanced on a seesaw each month. The position of the other planets places weight on this delicate planetary scale, the results of which play out each month through the signs and houses in which the Full Moon occurs.
The Full Moon 🌕 clarifies and intensifies events which are the result of the seeds planted two weeks earlier.
When the Full Moon appears, the balance between one’s emotional needs (the Moon) and one’s ego needs (the Sun’s identity) are played out through those events.
The actions of the last two weeks of January have resulted in this powerful Full Moon at 13° Leo ♌, which is badly in need of balance.
Although Leo can be loving and generous, under this Full Moon the sign Leo is motivated by self-love, is focused on the self’s desire for personal recognition, and its desire for money and power. Also, this Moon is afflicted by an opposition to Pluto and Mars which intensifies its need to control.
This Moon sits opposite the Aquarian ♒ Sun’s encompassing love of others; the Aquarian Sun is surrounded by Mercury/Venus (a united compassionate voice) and Mars/Pluto (the will to overcome).
This Aquarian voice reacts intensely, demanding social justice and equality, and proclaiming, “There’s too much for you and not enough for us.”
As a result, the Aquarian voice has spread a compassionate message of love across the country, more recently in Minnesota where, regardless of the violence on the streets, citizens gathered in loving support of their neighbors. At Cities Church in St. Paul, congregants sang a heartfelt song of love and unity for their community. Given the current circumstance, this Full Moon may bring trouble with a capital “T”, as sung in the 1962 musical 🎶, The Music Man.
In the best of all worlds, the Leo/Aquarius polarity is balanced by a 50% healthy love 💖 of self (Leo) and a 50% healthy love 💖of others (Aquarius).
Almost everyone on this planet loves someone or is loved by someone. There is far more love on our earth than there is hate or indifference.
This Full Moon in Leo on February 1st will clarify the events of the last two weeks. The world community is now fully aware of the current circumstances. So, when the Full Moon begins to wane over the next 15 days, we all enter a period for reflection and introspection. We begin to rest and recharge and plan for the planting of fresh seeds under the next new moon on February17th.
February 3rd is the midpoint of winter. It marks the exact halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. During winter, the shortest of the four seasons, the Earth is perihelion, closest in orbit to the Sun. When objects are closer to the Sun, they move faster because of the Sun’s gravitational pull, a fundamental law of gravity, thus winter has the shortest seasons.
Also on February 3rd, that eccentric unpredictable planet Uranus turns Direct at 27° Taurus ♉ for the last hurrah.
Happening now (2025-2033) is the fourth world-shifting Uranian cycle that I wrote about back in 2020. These repeating cycles, which began with the discovery of Uranus in 1781, are explained in my book, Numerology and Your Future: The Predictive Power of Numbers. On May 15, 2018, the planet Uranus entered Taurus ♉ for a seven-year visit. Uranus takes 84 years to circle your chart one time. Unless you live more than 84 years, the events caused by Uranus occur only once in your lifetime.
Uranus’s job was to unsettle, disrupt, and tear down situations that were stuck in the Taurean physical world of material security, wealth, and comfort. The key word for Taurus is ‘I have’.
And my clients know what I say about Uranus: “If you’re stuck, Uranus will unstick you.” Therefore, Uranus has been unsticking all the Taurean issues that have been stuck in this world (and in your life) these past 7 years.
I know…too many ‘stuck’ words but there it is.
Taurus is connected to the Earth; it does not like change. On the positive side, planets in this sign are rooted in the ground and work to protect this earth and be good stewards of its gifts. On the negative side, these planets are consumed with money, possessions, and the sensual pleasures in life. As is true of all life’s bell-shaped cycles as the end nears, the weakest traits become obvious and need to be eliminated.
Transiting Uranus is at the end of its job in your Taurus ruled house; it’s in clean-up mode, eliminating the last remnants of ‘stuck’ situations in your personal life and in the world.

A few months from now, Uranus will enter Gemini ♊ for the first time in 84 years and will spend the next 7 years there.
Gemini is an intellectual sign which values sharing ideas. Ruled by verbal Mercury, Gemini is a curious quick-thinking sign which loves talking. Called the social butterfly of the zodiac, it pollinates the intellectual world by sharing ideas which it then leaves for others to investigate. New inventions will populate these years.
Uranus, of course, will upset the apple cart personally and globally when intellectual freedom is misused. Look for the earthquakes and tsunamis in your Gemini ruled home.
The message is clear: clean up the language and awaken the brain cells.
The world is already experiencing a communication revolution. Some of these changes will be positive but you can be sure that Uranus will address the kinks that interfere with intellectual progress and free speech.
First, the public will demand the right to communicate freely. We saw that recently when devices were secretly slipped into Iran so the people could contact each other as they protested that current regime.
Then there’s AI (artificial intelligence). The human response to questions and situations is being threatened by AI where machines are programed to mimic human thought processes.
Once science fiction, Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator, a cybernetic assassin, came back to 1984 from the future to wreak havoc…well, that future is here.
And who is doing the programming? Are these human programmers encoding their belief systems and thought processes to answer questions through AI? Are we going into an Orwellian totalitarian future when people believe absurdities like up is down and black is white and two plus two equals five?
Rumor has it (and who knows what to believe anymore) that Elon Musk is reprogramming AI’s answer on Grok, a chatbox that ‘answers questions, generates ideas, summarizes content, and solves problems’, because it contradicted his beliefs.
Educationally, perhaps it's time to go back to the basics in school to learn once again the three R’s: ‘reading, writing, and ‘rithmatic’? Perhaps it's time to once again read books, learn how to write and speak in complete sentences, and learn basic math skills so the clerk at the checkout counter doesn’t have to use a smartphone to figure out how to make change.
Do we have to reeducate the younger population to think for themselves so they can enter the technological age with awareness?
The human brain needs stimulation; it needs exercise. If the brain is not stimulated, it begins to weaken and atrophy. We cannot allow machines to do all the thinking for us.

On February 6th, Mercury moves into the sign Pisces ♓ at 5:48pm where it will remain through April 29th. Why so long you ask? Because Mercury goes Retrograde February 26th. And you know what that means.
Start taking notes on February 6th concerning those thoughts stirring in your Piscean home. Daily notes would be good because, on the 26th, Mercury goes into a Retrograde period lasting through March 20th during which time you would be wise to review those notes to be sure you haven’t missed any roadblocks 🚧. On March 20th when Mercury turns Direct, the traffic light🚦turns a bright green go!
On February 13th, Saturn, the finger-shaker and destiny-maker, enters Aries♈ for the first time since April 1996 for a two-year visit. What kind of cleansing and restructuring were you doing in your Aries house during those few years?
However, this Saturn journey through Aries will be like no other because it will hook up with Neptune at the sensitive crucial beginning degree of the zodiac, 0° Aries, for the first time in what some estimate as thousands of years. We’ve been talking about this in my past newsletters, so you know by now what this means. The old barriers, structures, and fears in your life (Saturn) are crumbling to make way for those things you have dreamed possible (Neptune).
Astrology’s Hidden Aspects: Quintiles and Sesquiquintiles, reveals the importance of the 72° quintile and the 108° sesquiquintile which the Egyptians called the “sacred golden bowls”. February 14th is Valentines Day! 💖Sweets for the sweet! The roots of this day trace back to ancient Rome and its Christian traditions. Valentine’s Day was also named after the Christian martyr St. Valentine who was killed for protesting oppressive laws against Christians.
So, order flowers 💐and chocolates for your loved one and plan a romantic interlude at a quiet hide away. Love is in the air this month!
Now on to celestial business….of course, love can be a heavenly business!
February 17th brings a Solar Eclipse at 28° Aquarius ♒.
All major aspects for the next few years are playing out against the backdrop of the five major planets as they move into new signs simultaneously. Jupiter (once every 12 years) is moving in Leo ♌; Saturn (once every 29+ years and Neptune once every 164 years) are jointly moving into Aries ♈; Uranus (once every 84 years) is moving in Gemini ♊; and Pluto (once every 248 years) has newly arrived in Aquarius ♒.
These changes are epic, shifting the consciousness of humanity which will eventually alter the world culturally, politically, religiously, and intellectually.
The Solar Eclipse on February 17th at 28° Aquarius ♒is one of those major aspects.
From past newsletters you know that a Solar Eclipse can bring about a powerful event that seems unsettling at first because it pushes you out of your comfort zone, but it clears the way for a new direction in your life, perhaps causing a spiritual awakening, and a link to destiny.
The chart of this solar eclipse is heavily weighted on one side of the wheel through the signs Aquarius ♒and Pisces♓ (with Saturn and Neptune at 0° Aries ♈).
The Sun joined to the Moon are both square, challenged by Uranus in Taurus♉. What comes to mind is the frustrated Howard Beale shouting “I’m not going to take it anymore’ in the 1976 film Network mentioned in my January 2026 Newsletter.
However, with Mercury conjunct Venus (speaking love) trine Jupiter (in a big voice) the shouting will be done with love~~~which reinforces the opening statement in this newsletter; the key word for the Leo/Aquarius polarity is love.
The consciousness shifting of the five major planets magnifies love as the way into to the new age.
Under this New Moon Solar Eclipse, we must plant seeds of personal and universal love. Look into your Leo♌/Aquarius♒ houses to discover where and how you can be a catalyst in the new age. Read about great leaders in history who changed the world by simply standing in love against overwhelming forces. Mahatma Ghandi comes to mind.
On February 18, the Sun enters Pisces♓, lighting up the world of compassion for the next 30 days, perhaps highlighting your role in the changes that are coming.
And then…drum roll…on February 20th, the much talked about Saturn conjunct Neptune will occur at 0° Aries♈, when walls of fear slowly begin to crumble and spiritual heroes (you?) begin to arise.
We will be talking about this conjunction during 2026 and beyond.
On a mundane but important note: Mercury goes Retrograde on the 26th at 22° Pisces♓ when we have intellectual access to the compassion of this watery sign, the last sign in the zodiac, where the final truth resides.
The crux of this newsletter is to rethink how you can change the world through expressing your love in every relationship, casual, personal, and global.
