Ferns of Tennessee

This project is the result of the collaboration of me, an avid fern lover, and my friend Layla Dishman, a botanist and photographer. We noticed a lack of accessible and quality materials pertaining to the identification, geographic distribution, ecology, and overall biology of ferns. 

Layla has graciously offered her photographs of ferns from her Flicker account, and I have offered my services as a science writer. Any photos associated with this project that do not have an attributed author are her intellectual property. 

Fall 2023 Updates: I am busy researching the sensitive fern, so this part of the website will be moved to the back burner.
