Welcome to Dust Bloom Clean (the "App"), a device junk cleaning and storage optimization tool developed and operated by Dust Bloom Clean (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of all users (hereinafter referred to as "you") who access and use the App. This Privacy Policy explains in detail the types of information we may collect, how we use, store and protect such information, as well as your rights regarding your information when you use the App. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions set forth in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We strictly adhere to the principle of "data minimization" and only collect information that is necessary to fulfill the core functions of the App and improve your user experience. All collection activities comply with applicable data protection laws and regulations. The information we collect is categorized as follows:
1.1 Automatically Collected Device and Technical Information
When you use the App, we may automatically collect limited technical information related to your device to ensure the App operates stably and efficiently. This information includes but is not limited to: device model, brand, operating system version, RAM/ROM capacity, battery status, network connection type (Wi-Fi/cellular), App version number, launch time, session duration, and crash logs. This information is used solely for troubleshooting technical faults, optimizing the App's compatibility with different devices, and enhancing overall performance. We will not collect unique device identifiers (such as IMEI, Android ID, IDFA) unless you explicitly authorize it for cross-device data synchronization purposes.
1.2 Information Related to Cleaning Functions
To provide accurate cleaning and optimization services, the App will access and process the following data locally on your device (without uploading to our servers unless you enable optional cloud sync functions):
- Junk file information: Types and sizes of cache files, residual installation packages, invalid logs, empty folders, and other redundant data generated by third-party apps on your device.
- Storage usage data: Overall storage occupancy of your device, storage usage of individual apps, and large file distribution, which is used to generate personalized cleaning recommendations.
We will never access, read, or store the content of your personal files (including photos, videos, audio, documents, messages, and call records). All cleaning operations are performed locally on your device, and no personal content will be uploaded to our servers.
1.3 Permissions-Related Information
To implement core cleaning functions, the App will request necessary permissions from you, and we will only collect relevant information after obtaining your explicit consent:
- Storage permission: Required to scan and clean junk files in device storage. We will only access file attributes (name, size, path) necessary for cleaning, not the content of the files.
- Photo and video permission (optional): Required to help you identify and clean duplicate or blurry photos and videos. This permission is only used for junk media file processing, and we will not access or store other photo/video content unrelated to cleaning.
You can enable or disable the above permissions at any time through your device settings, but disabling necessary permissions may affect the normal use of relevant cleaning functions.
1.4 Voluntarily Provided Information
You may choose to provide information voluntarily in specific scenarios, and such provision is not mandatory: When you use the App's feedback function to submit suggestions or report problems, you may choose to provide a description of the issue or relevant screenshots (no personal information is required). When you enable the optional cloud sync function to back up your cleaning preferences, you may voluntarily set a username (no real-name required) to associate your sync data.
1.5 Information Collected by Third-Party Services
The App may integrate limited third-party tools to enhance functionality, and these third parties may collect anonymous data in accordance with their own privacy policies. The main third-party services include:
- Analytics tools: We use analytics tools to collect anonymous usage data (such as popular cleaning features, user retention rates) to improve the App's performance and optimize function design. These tools do not track personal information.
- Advertising services (if applicable): For the free version of the App, third-party advertising SDKs may collect anonymous device data to display non-intrusive, relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in the App’s settings at any time.
We do not control the data collection practices of third parties, and we recommend that you carefully review the privacy policies of these third parties before using the relevant functions of the App.
2. Purpose of Using Your Information
We use the collected information only for the following legitimate and necessary purposes:
- To operate and maintain the core functions of the App, including completing junk file scanning and cleaning, optimizing device running speed, and releasing storage space.
- To optimize the App's performance and user experience, such as analyzing anonymous usage data to fix functional bugs, improve cleaning algorithms, reduce the App's resource consumption, and develop new features that meet user needs.
- To provide personalized services, such as recommending targeted cleaning solutions based on your device's storage status and usage habits.
- To ensure the security of the App and users' devices, such as detecting and preventing malicious use of the App, identifying and fixing potential security vulnerabilities, and protecting against unauthorized access.
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal obligations, such as responding to legitimate inquiries or requirements from regulatory authorities.
3. Storage and Protection of Information
3.1 Storage Details
Local Storage: Most cleaning-related data (such as junk file type and storage usage) is stored locally on your device and will be automatically deleted after you complete the cleaning process or uninstall the App.
Cloud Storage (Optional): If you enable the cloud sync function, your cleaning preferences will be stored on secure cloud servers managed by Dust Bloom Clean, located in the region where the App provides its main services. If cross-border data transmission is involved, we will strictly comply with relevant data protection laws and regulations and take necessary encryption measures to ensure the legality and security of data transmission.
Storage Period: We will retain your information only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable laws and regulations. Anonymous device and technical information will be retained for 6 months after your last use of the App, after which it will be anonymized or permanently deleted. Your sync data will be retained for as long as you use the sync function; if you disable the function, the data will be deleted from our servers within 7 days.
3.2 Security Measures
We attach great importance to the security of your information and have adopted a series of technical and organizational security measures to prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, or destruction of your information, including but not limited to:
- Encrypting data during transmission and storage using industry-standard encryption protocols (such as SSL/TLS).
- Implementing strict access control policies, with only authorized personnel who have passed security verification having access to user data, and all access behaviors are logged and audited regularly.
- Conducting regular security audits, vulnerability scans, and employee privacy protection training to continuously improve information security protection capabilities.
Please note that no data transmission or storage method is 100% secure. We will do our best to protect your information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security. You should also take appropriate measures to protect the security of your device and account (such as setting a screen lock, not sharing device access rights with others).
4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We will not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your personal information to any third party for commercial purposes without your explicit consent. We may share your information with third parties only in the following circumstances:
- With third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App or providing services (such as cloud storage providers, analytics tools). These third parties are contractually obligated to comply with strict privacy protection requirements and may only use your information for the specific purposes authorized by us.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or government authority, we may disclose your information to fulfill legal obligations or protect public interests.
- To protect the legitimate rights and interests of us, our users, or third parties, such as investigating and dealing with fraudulent activities, resolving disputes, or preventing harm to personal and property safety.
- In the event of a merger, acquisition, sale of all or part of assets, or other major business transfers, your information may be transferred to the successor entity. We will ensure that the successor entity complies with this Privacy Policy and continues to protect your information, and will notify you of such a transfer through prominent means within the App at least 30 days before the transfer takes effect.
5. Your Rights Regarding Your Information
Pursuant to applicable data protection laws and regulations, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Access: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, including the type, scope, and purpose of the collected information.
- Right to Correction: If your personal information (such as sync preferences) is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request us to correct or supplement it through the App's relevant settings.
- Right to Deletion: You may request us to delete your personal information if the information is no longer necessary for the stated purposes, if you withdraw your consent, if our collection and use of the information violates applicable laws and regulations, or if you uninstall the App and disable all related functions. After you request deletion, we will take secure measures to delete your relevant information in a timely manner.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: If you have previously given consent for us to process your information (such as for cloud sync, personalized ads), you may withdraw that consent at any time through your device settings or the App's internal settings. Please note that withdrawing consent may affect your ability to use certain functions of the App.
- Right to Restrict Processing: You may request us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances (such as when you dispute the accuracy of the information or object to the processing of the information).
- Right to Data Portability: You may request us to export your cleaning preference data in a machine-readable format for personal use through the App's relevant settings.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable laws for collecting personal information from children). We do not intentionally collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without the consent of a parent or guardian, we will immediately take measures to delete the relevant information and terminate the child's access to the App.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in business practices, legal requirements, or App functions. When we make material changes to the Privacy Policy, we will notify you through prominent means within the App (such as a pop-up notification) at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The updated Privacy Policy will take effect on the effective date stated at the top of the document. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
