If you want a modern, feature-rich audio experience with Bluetooth 5.4 stability and an LED battery display for gaming or media consumption on your PS5, choose DUSONLAP Sleep Earbuds; if you need a specialized flat-profile design specifically engineered to eliminate pressure pain while lying directly on your ear, choose Acjohtin Side Sleeper Sleep.
• DUSONLAP Sleep Earbuds: Offers superior connectivity with Bluetooth 5.4, a 47-hour total playtime with an LED power display, and active noise reduction features ideal for immersive listening; however, its round in-ear profile might still cause some discomfort for those who sleep exclusively on their side without adjustment.
• Acjohtin Side Sleeper Sleep: Features a unique zero-flat design that physically removes pressure points for side sleepers and includes wireless charging capabilities; yet it lacks the extended battery life of its competitor and uses a more basic passive noise cancellation approach.
• Who each pick is for: The DUSONLAP is best for users who prioritize long battery life, seamless pairing, and high-quality stereo sound for gaming or podcasts, while the Acjohtin is strictly for those whose primary struggle is physical comfort when sleeping on their side.
The DUSONLAP SU8 model is built around the concept of seamless integration into a modern digital lifestyle, even during rest hours. Its standout feature is the inclusion of Bluetooth 5.4 technology, which promises a fast, stable connection with minimal latency. This makes it a compelling choice for anyone looking to use these as a headphone for PS5 sessions where audio-video sync matters. Unlike older Bluetooth standards that can suffer from dropouts or lag, this newer protocol ensures a strong signal within a 12-meter range, allowing you to move around your room without losing your connection to the console.
Beyond connectivity, the battery performance here is designed to outlast a single night's rest. With a claimed average life of 5 to 7 hours per charge and a massive 40 hours provided by the charging case, these earbuds are built for extended usage. The charging case also features an LED digital display, which is a practical touch for monitoring exactly how much power remains before you head to bed. This eliminates the guesswork of wondering if your audio will cut out in the middle of the night. The 6mm diameter speakers deliver a wide sound range with dynamic treble and powerful bass, making them suitable not just for white noise, but for immersive gaming or music listening where audio fidelity is important.

However, this product is not a one-size-fits-all solution for every sleeping position. While the brand claims an ergonomic design polished for side sleepers, the fundamental shape is still an in-ear bud weighing 3.0g. For heavy side sleepers who find any protrusion painful against a pillow, the round contour might eventually become uncomfortable after several hours. Additionally, the control scheme relies on touch sensors, which is standard but requires a learning curve to avoid accidental pauses while adjusting your position. If your primary goal is to simply block out the world and sleep deeply without worrying about battery anxiety or audio quality, this might be over-engineered for your needs. But if you are an avid gamer or audiophile who wants a reliable, low-latency connection for your PS5 while drifting off, the DUSONLAP offers a robust platform that balances comfort with high-end functionality.
The Acjohtin YYK-790 takes a radically different approach to the problem of sleeping with headphones. Its entire identity revolves around the "Zero Flat Design." This isn't just a marketing term; it describes a physical engineering decision where the earbud is flattened to sit flush against the ear canal rather than protruding outward. For a dedicated side sleeper, this is often the difference between wearing a device all night or taking it out after an hour because the pressure becomes unbearable. The acoustic driver size is listed at 8 millimeters, which is larger than the DUSONLAP's 6mm unit, suggesting a focus on delivering sufficient volume through a form factor that minimizes intrusion.
This product is explicitly tailored for the person who prioritizes physical comfort above all else. The flat profile means that when you lay your head down, there is no hard plastic edge digging into your cheek or pillow. The design is housed in a compact carrying case made of plastic, measuring roughly 9 centimeters in length and width, making it highly portable. The brand also highlights a Bluetooth version 6.1 connection, which theoretically offers a wider range of up to 15 meters compared to the competition, ensuring that even if you leave your console in another room, the signal holds firm. The inclusion of a wireless charging case adds a layer of convenience for daily users who prefer dropping the case onto a pad rather than fiddling with cables.
Despite its specialized design, there are trade-offs to consider. The battery life is listed at an average of 5 hours, matching the lower end of the DUSONLAP's claim, but without the massive 40-hour reserve provided by the DUSONLAP's case. You may find yourself needing to charge the case more frequently if you plan to use it for multiple days without access to a power source. Furthermore, the noise control is described as "Passive Noise Cancellation," meaning it relies solely on the physical seal of the earbud rather than electronic processing. This is effective for blocking external sounds but won't actively generate anti-noise like advanced active noise cancelling systems. If you require absolute silence or have significant background noise, you might find this less effective than a system with electronic cancellation. Ultimately, the Acjohtin is for the person who cannot tolerate the sensation of an earbud pressing against their pillow and is willing to sacrifice extended battery life and active noise features for that specific comfort guarantee.
• Best for Low Latency Gaming on PS5: The DUSONLAP Sleep Earbuds utilize Bluetooth 5.4, which is generally optimized for faster data transfer and lower latency, making it the superior choice for syncing audio with video games on your PS5.
• Best for Physical Comfort (Side Sleeping): The Acjohtin Side Sleeper Sleep wins decisively here due to its Zero Flat Design, which physically prevents the earbud from being crushed by your pillow, a critical advantage for side sleepers.
• Best Battery Life and Reserve Power: The DUSONLAP Sleep Earbuds offer a 40-hour total playtime with its charging case, whereas the Acjohtin's capacity is not specified beyond the 5-hour earbud life, making DUSONLAP better for travel or multi-day use.
• Best Charging Convenience: The Acjohtin Side Sleeper Sleep includes a wireless charging case, offering a cable-free charging experience that the DUSONLAP does not appear to support based on its Type-C specification.
• Best Audio Driver Size: The Acjohtin Side Sleeper Sleep features an 8mm driver compared to the DUSONLAP's 6mm driver, potentially offering a fuller sound profile despite the smaller enclosure.
• Best Connectivity Range: The Acjohtin Side Sleeper Sleep boasts a 15-meter Bluetooth range, slightly edging out the DUSONLAP's 12-meter limit for maximum distance from your source.
• Best for Active Noise Reduction: The DUSONLAP Sleep Earbuds mention a "unique sleep mode" that effectively reduces ambient noise, whereas Acjohtin relies only on passive sealing, giving DUSONLAP the edge for noise sensitivity.
• Best Value for Tech Enthusiasts: The DUSONLAP Sleep Earbuds provide more modern features like an LED power display and Bluetooth 5.4, appealing to users who want current-generation tech specs.
In my opinion, if I were buying these for a setup involving a PS5, I would choose the DUSONLAP Sleep Earbuds. The combination of Bluetooth 5.4 for low latency, the extensive 47-hour battery life, and the LED display creates a much more versatile and reliable tool for gaming and media consumption. While the Acjohtin has a clever flat design, the DUSONLAP strikes a better balance between comfort and high-performance audio features. However, if your sole priority is never feeling pressure on your ears while lying on your side, the Acjohtin's specialized shape is worth the compromise on battery and tech features. For a balanced experience that works well for both gaming and sleep, the DUSONLAP is the stronger recommendation.
Yes, the DUSONLAP Sleep Earbuds are particularly well-suited for gaming on consoles like the PS5 due to their Bluetooth 5.4 technology, which helps minimize audio delay. The Acjohtin model also supports wireless connectivity but focuses more on physical comfort than low-latency performance.
The DUSONLAP Sleep Earbuds feature a specific sleep mode designed to reduce ambient noise effectively, acting similarly to active noise cancellation. The Acjohtin model relies on passive noise cancellation through its physical fit and flat design rather than electronic noise suppression.
Both products list an average battery life of approximately 5 hours for the earbuds themselves. However, the DUSONLAP includes a charging case that extends total usage time to 47 hours, while the Acjohtin case provides additional charges but does not specify the same extended total duration.
The Acjohtin Side Sleeper Sleep is specifically engineered with a zero-flat design to prevent discomfort when sleeping on your side. The DUSONLAP is marketed as comfortable for side sleepers but retains a standard in-ear shape that might feel less ideal for those who apply heavy pressure to their ears while sleeping.
