pretendalleys  — may 10th 2016, the day she turned 22, davina finds herself trapped in a mysterious, isolated world that seems tailored to her. the world is stuck on the day of her birth, leading her to believe it was designed specifically for her. her assumptions change when she meets KAI, another resident in this prison, who has been in this world far longer. their initial dynamic is intense — kai manipulates her for his own gain, exploiting her abilities and fuelling a tense, bittersweet relationship with constant back-and-forth banter, pretending and lies coming from kai. as they are forced to work together to come up with a plan to break free from this infernal loop, moments of connection begin to emerge. they start to grow fond of each other and things seemed to be leading to a successful escape, but their fragile relationship is disrupted when davina finds an OLD NEWSPAPER revealing that the world wasn’t made for her at all — it’s a prison meant to contain kai for his dark past and the murder spree of his own family. faced with this shocking finding, davina discovers a potential way out of the prison but HESITATES, unsure whether she should free someone with such a violent history, even though she'd grown fond of him. when kai learns of her uncertainty and her consideration of leaving him behind, the tenuous trust between them SHATTERS. their relationship, half-built of lies and growing feelings, is thrown into chaos, leaving them to confront betrayal, guilt,
