DualShot Recorder: Front-Back ("we", "us", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use DualShot Recorder: Front-Back.
a) Media you create on-device
Videos, photos, and screen recordings you capture stay on your device or in your iCloud Photos library. We never upload your media to our servers.
b) Device permissions
With your permission, the app accesses:
Camera — to record video and capture photos
Microphone — to record audio with your videos
Photo Library — to save your recordings and load gallery thumbnails
Location (optional) — to embed GPS metadata into saved videos and photos, only when enabled in Settings
c) Anonymous identifier (referral program)
On first launch, a random anonymous identifier (UUID) is generated and stored on your device. It is used solely to track your referral code and rewards. It is not linked to your Apple ID, email, name, phone number, or any personally identifiable information.
d) Referral data on Firebase Firestore
Your randomly generated referral code
The number of friends who have redeemed your code
The timestamp of when you joined the referral program
Earned reward state (3-day Pro grant or Lifetime Pro)
Stored data is anonymous and cannot be tied back to you personally.
e) Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate. Events we log include: onboarding completion, review prompt interactions, paywall views and purchases, and feature usage (Teleprompter, FaceCam, Photo, Refer Friend). Firebase Analytics may collect a device-level identifier and basic device information (device model, OS version, locale, app version). Firebase does not receive your name, email, or any direct identifier from us.
f) In-app purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription state. RevenueCat receives anonymized purchase information necessary to grant entitlements.

The app uses the following third-party SDKs:

Firebase by Google (Firestore + Analytics) — https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
YouTube embedded player (only loads when you enter a YouTube URL in FaceCam mode) — https://policies.google.com/privacy
When you enter a YouTube URL, the YouTube player loads inside an in-app web view. YouTube/Google may collect cookies and viewing data per their own privacy policy.
DualShot Recorder is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has used the app, we will delete any associated referral state on request.
Local data (settings, teleprompter text, anonymous identifier) is deleted when you uninstall the app. Referral data on Firebase Firestore is retained as long as the anonymous identifier exists. To request deletion, contact us at mduzzalmia.dev@gmail.com with your referral code.
We use industry-standard security practices, including HTTPS for all network requests. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Depending on your region (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have rights to:
Access the data we hold about you
Request deletion of your referral state
Opt out of analytics (disable in iOS Settings → Privacy → Analytics)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
