Welcome to Dunn IT!

Hello, I'm Colin Dunn...

...and I believe in producing high-quality solutions that fuels the engagement between brands and their audience. My passion is design & technology

Some of the areas of my expertise

A full time freelance developer, based in Manchester, UK, I provide web solutions from simple public facing websites to complex enterprise scale web applications.

I have worked with many programming languages and frameworks over the years and now specialise in the .NET framework.

See my CV for the full list of technologies I can work with but my main day to day tools include ASP.NET MVC, C#, SQL Server, HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery.

I have worked across the full development life-cycle and am as happy to take on the full functional specification, technical design, development and testing of your new application as I am to collaborate with your existing development team either in my office in Manchester or at your premises.

I have worked with a broad spectrum of customers from small independent software houses to large corporations. A few happy customers include Travel Supermarket, Manheim, Promethean, ENWORKS, Lightbox Education and Keoghs.

code-writing monkey, tech passionate, Husband, Father, football fan...

Creating Windows apps and coding websites since 1994!

I am a highly proficient Senior Analyst Programmer with over 22 years’ experience building windows and web enterprise-scale database applications using OO, C#, ASP.Net, MVC and SQL Server.

I have consistently added value to projects through the combination of end-user focus; delivery within time and resource constraints; and my extensive technical knowledge. I have extensive experience throughout the application life cycle, from initial requirements gathering through to project management and design to implementation and deployment. One of my strengths is that I can balance the requirement for optimal design within the constraints of delivery timetables.

Dunn IT has an established framework for sustainable practice.

A full review in 2014 resulted in restructuring my approach across my business including business running, environmental understanding, partners/suppliers, implementation and production procedures. Since that time, I have remained wholly committed to continuously finding (and learning) methods of achieving the greatest project result with the smallest environmental impact.
