Duelist is a Chrome extension that helps students keep their homework, quizzes and exams in one list and reminds them before each deadline.
Duelist does not collect, send, sell or share any of your data. Everything you save stays in your own browser.
When you add a task, Duelist saves the details you enter or confirm: the task name, the link to the page, the class, the type of task and the due date. It also saves the class names and colors you create.
This information is stored only on your device, using Chrome's local extension storage. It is never sent to the developer or to any other server.
When you press "Add this page" or use the right-click menu, Duelist reads the title and address of the page you are on so it can fill in the task for you. It only does this for the page you choose, at the moment you choose it. It does not track the websites you visit.
If you choose to connect a calendar link from Moodle, Canvas, Google Calendar or another school platform, Duelist stores that link in your browser and uses it to download your deadlines directly from that platform about once an hour. Chrome asks your permission for each website before Duelist can read it, and Duelist only reads the calendar link you provided.
The calendar link and the deadlines it contains stay on your device. They are never sent to the developer or any other server. You can disconnect a link at any time on the Import page, and you can remove Duelist's access to a website in Chrome's extension settings.
Duelist uses Chrome notifications to remind you before a task is due. Reminders are created on your device and are not sent through any outside service.

No analytics or tracking
No advertising
No selling or sharing of data with third parties
No remote code
You can delete any task from inside Duelist. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes all of its stored data.
If Duelist changes how it handles data (for example, by adding optional sync between devices), this policy will be updated first and the date above will change.
