Childhood

• Ducky's parents were verbally abusive and manipulative. 

  • They wanted him to be a grass type specialist, so they bought him a lot of merchandise of grass type Pokemon, but never did much research and wound up buying him mostly Grass/Ghost type Pokemon merchandise. 

  • When Ducky would express not wanting to be a Grass specialist, his parents would yell at and guilt trip him

• Whenever his parents would yell at him too much as a child, Ducky would run to the Saison Canal and sit on the ground by it, usually by the sewer door, and he would sometimes go into the sewers

  • This is how he met Noose, as a Litwick. She was being attacked by an Alpha Goomy in the rain, locked out of the sewers. Ducky grabbed a stick and smacked the Goomy and then grabbed Noose and ducked into the Sewers for cover while the Goomy was stunned.

• After Noose joined his team, he had to keep her hidden from his parents, as they would yell at him and force him to release her or they would throw her into the Saison Canal.

Teenhood

• When he was old enough to be emancipated from his parents, he did, moving from the Magenta District to the Bleu District. He was able to get a job working at Shutterbug Cafe as a waiter, right outside of his apartment building, working minimum wage.

• One day after Noose had evolved into a Lampent, when he was walking home with Noose along Estival Avenue towards South Boulevard, he heard a small cry. Ducky tried to look for it, but Noose (utilising her Infiltrator ability) found the source of the cry quickly.

  • The cry belonged to a Roaming Gimmighoul, right outside of Zone 9. Ducky leaned down to pick it up, and it hesitated before scampering up his arm. While yelling frantically, they gestured to the zone, where Ducky could see an alpha Sableye. After Ducky and Noose defeated the Sableye and returned the Gimmighoul's coin, they didn't want to leave, so Ducky decided to bring them home.
