Dr Nguyen Duc Duy pursued a PhD in Engineering and Technology and got an "Excellent PhD dissertation" specialising in Supply chain management at Thammasat University, Thailand, in 2021. He has done postdoctoral research in quantitative business analysis at LUT University, Finland. He was also a committee member of undergraduate and graduate programs and international conferences. He developed and applied optimisation and machine learning methodologies to different engineering problems. His research interests include supply chain management, production systems, renewable energy management and operations research. Since 2017, he has published 11 high-quality international research papers indexed in Scopus/ISI, 4 book chapters and 7 international conferences. He got 2 years of "Excellent Lecturer Award" from HCMUT-VNU.
His Ph.D. thesis focused on the renewable energy supply chain that received an "Excellent evaluation" from Thammasat University - Thailand.
