Dr. Duc-Minh Vu has been been a lecturer at the Faculty of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, College of Technology, National Economics University since 12/2023. Before that, he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science, Phenikaa University between 07/2021-11/2023. He received his B.Sc. from Hanoi University of Science, in 2003 and M.Sc. from the Institute of Francophone for Informatics in 2007, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Montreal in 2014. From 10/2015 to 06/2018, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Loyola University Chicago, School of Business, working in a NSF-funded project. From 10/2018 to 06/2019, he was a postdoctoral researcher at University of Tours (formerly François Rabelais University of Tours), School of Engineering, in a Centre-Val de Loire regional-funded project. From 07/2019 to 06/2021, he was a KTP Associate in a KTP project funded and sponsored by Innovative UK, Cardiff University, and Ocado Technology.

RECENT NEWS
04/2025: We are pleased to announce that our paper, "A 2-index Stage-based Formulation and a Construct, Merge, Solve & Adapt Algorithm for the Flying Sidekick Traveling Salesman Problem," has been conditionally accepted for presentation at the 14th Conference on Information Technology and Its Applications (CITA 2025).
03/2025: Our paper titled "Exact Approaches for Scheduling Problems on Parallel Identical Machines with Conflict Jobs" was published as part of the Handbook of Combinatorial Optimization series by Springer.
03/2025: Our lab has begun a collaboration with the Center of Environmental Intelligence at VinUni; working on a research topic focusing on Electrical Vehicle Routing Problem.
02/2025: I leaded two ICPC teams from FDA, NEU—NEU. gugugaga and NEU. THD—to participate in the Asia ICPC Regional Championship at the National University of Singapore (NUS). NEU. gugugaga achieved a ranking of 16th among the participating universities.

08/2024: Organized the 4th Annual Conference of the Vietnam Operations Research Network (VORN).
07/2024: Our students delivered a talk titled "Metaheuristics for a Flight Service Scheduling Problem in Vietnam" at the 14th International Scientific Conference on Information Technology and Its Applications (CITA 2024).
05/2024: Appointed as the Director of the Smart Logistics and Supply Chain Management Laboratory, College of Technology, National Economics University.
03/2024: Represented our research group at the 22nd Workshop on Optimization and Scientific Computing - April 2024 - Ba Vi, Vietnam , Ba Vi, Hanoi, where we presented "Multi-Visit Traveling Salesman Problem with Drone: A Stage-Based Formulation and Initial Computational Results."
03/2024: Our paper has been conditionally accepted for presentation at the 13th Conference on Information Technology and Its Applications (CITA 2024).
