The 3 000 square metre park was conceived as a neighbourhood garden based on the concept of an Islamic garden. The serene setting is reflective of its Islamic heritage, drawing on the traditions of a faith which has inspired outstanding architecture and landscapes for many centuries in Dubai and throughout the world. For example, archways from the Fatimid period of the 10th to 12th centuries have been used in the park structures. The project architect, Maher Stino, was also the landscape architect of Al-Azhar Park, a project of the Trust in Cairo, Egypt.

Situated at the summit of the park is a grand pergola that provided a raised shaded sitting area from which the entire park is visible. Additional sitting alcoves and concrete benches are located throughout the garden under the shade of palm trees for those wishing to enjoy the evening breeze. Three gates allow for the easy flow of people from all three road sides of the park. One of the entrances lies along the axis of the raised pergola from which the cascading fountain originates.

The design of this small park provides something for all visitors, whether they wish to sit and read a book, allow their senses to be stimulated by the scents of flowers and the sound of water, or simply to admire nature while strolling along the gently curving walkway.

The Solar Park is the largest single-site solar park in the world, with a planned capacity of 5,000MW by 2030. Located in Seih Al Dahal, Dubai, the power plant will reduce over 6.5 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year starting from 2030.

The solar park uses a range of photovoltaic (PV) and concentrated solar power (CSP) technologies. Besides, it also includes an Innovation Centre and it is home to one of the largest Research & Development centres in the region, which includes PV solar and CSP testing facilities and a solar-powered water desalination plant.

Operation of the park began in 2013, with the launch of the first phase of the project, having a capacity of 13MW. The second phase of the solar park was successfully inaugurated in April 2017, adding up the total capacity to 200 MW.

Dubai Parks and Resorts is a resort located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Spread over 25 million square feet,[1] it features more than 100 rides and attractions, and consists of three theme parks: Motiongate Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai[2] and Legoland Dubai,[3] and one water park: Legoland Water Park.[4] It also encompasses Riverland Dubai,[5] a themed retail and dining destination, as well as the Polynesian-themed family resort, Lapita Hotel Dubai.[6]

In 2014, the company signed agreements with DreamWorks Animation,[8] Columbia Pictures,[9] Merlin Entertainments and various Bollywood studios to bring beloved Hollywood and Bollywood characters to its theme parks.

In 2015, Dubai Parks and Resorts signed an agreement with Lionsgate,[10] for a fifth themed zone in Motiongate Dubai. In 2016, the company announced the commencement of construction for Six Flags Dubai, the fourth theme park to be added to the Dubai Parks and Resorts destination.[11]

The grand hyatt is terrible! There are tons of better hotels to choose from in dubai.

It's really dirty, smelly and uncomfortable. I didn't stay in a suite though.

And don't get me started on the galleria residence! (part of grand hyatt) it's just disgusting.

In my opinion, the hotel should loose its hyatt flag.

There were a ton of rides and attractions for both adults and kids. They had tons of carnival fairground rides including a giant Ferris wheel. There were arcades and carnival games scattered all throughout the amusement park. On Kiosk Street, they had tons of tasty street food vendors where you can indulge in delicious food and snacks.

We had such a great time exploring the Global Village. I would highly recommend this amusement park if you are traveling through Dubai. This was a perfect way to end our travels in this amazing place. We got so many cool photos that we will treasure forever. This is a great location for both friends and family because there is so much to see and do. If you would like to read more about our previous experiences in Dubai, you can catch up here. Thanks for reading along! If you decide to visit the Global Village in the future, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Many theme park designers have created rides that are flagships for a new part of a park. Some have been behind ones which have even become icons for the park itself. However not many can say their work was used to put an entire country on the theme park map. Entertainment Design Corporation (EDC) is one of them and it has had a magic touch.

One of the biggest forces on the horizon in the theme park industry is expected to be the Middle East. According to the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), the Middle East and North Africa will be the fastest-growing region for theme park spending over the next four years. It is expected to triple to $541 million in 2022 giving it higher spending than the more mature market of Australia. It has taken more than the wave of a wand to get to this position.

Dubai began to get its theme park ambitions back on track in 2013 when it won the rights to host the 2020 Expo. The event will attract visitors from all over the world so Dubai wanted to ensure that it has enough facilities to keep them occupied.

Instead of opening its own park, DreamWorks condensed its plans to fit into the movie-themed MOTIONGATE which is one of the Dubai parks that got the green light. Now grouped under the Dubai Parks and Resorts (DPR) banner, which also includes Legoland and Bollywood parks, guests began streaming through the turnstiles at MOTIONGATE in December 2016. They are greeted by a central avenue lined with buildings which have an air of faades from a film set. Four lands themed to characters from different movie studios fork off from it.

Each of the four lands is themed to a different movie and the line-up includes Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon. They immerse guests in ways which most other theme parks could only dream of doing. The sets are more elaborate than the ones you find outside as there is no danger of them being damaged by the wind or bleached by the sun.

The ride itself is made by German roller coaster manufacturer Mack, the leader in its field and one of the most respected names in the theme park industry. Dragon Gliders is driven by the most cutting-edge equipment in its spell book.

There were plenty of twists and turns along the way both with the ride and the MOTIONGATE park itself. Under the original plans, the Lionsgate land was due to be themed to films from 20th Century Fox including an Aliens ride and a walking tour of the Titanic.

The industry agrees and last year the DreamWorks Animation Zone won a prestigious Themed Entertainment Association award for outstanding achievement in the new theme park land category. It has enchanted theme park-goers too as DPR recently announced that its parks attracted more than 1.96 million visits during the first nine months of 2018, an increase of 33% on the same period last year.

Creek Park offers dedicated barbecue areas, as well as green spaces for picnics. Visitors will need to bring all their own equipment and supplies. It goes without saying that all picnickers are also expected to clean up after themselves to ensure the park is kept safe and tidy for others.

One of the easiest ways to reach Creek Park by metro is to take the metro's Red Line towards Dubai Creek. Get off at the Burjuman stop and get on the Green Line to Dubai Healthcare City. From here, it's only a 15-minute walk to the park's main gate.

Creek Park is open from 8am to 10pm from Sunday to Wednesday. From Thursday to Saturday, it is open from 8am to 11pm. The best time to visit is earlier in the morning as you will avoid any crowds and easily find parking spaces close to the entrance.

Dubai Creek Park is located in the heart of Dubai with plenty of sites and attractions close to it, including Dubai Museum, Al Fahidi Fort, Alserkal Cultural Foundation and the Coffee Museum. Visitors could easily pass by during a packed day of activities, or simply spend the whole day in the popular park.

The hotel is also a short distance from Motiongate and the Legoland waterpark, making it one of the most conveniently situated hotels in Dubai Parks and Resorts and a top choice for those looking to dive into a world of thrilling rides and attractions. These parks offer a range of activities suitable for different age groups, from young children to adults, ensuring that everyone has an unforgettable experience.

Tickets for the parks can be purchased online or at the venue, with various options available to suit different preferences and budgets. From single-day passes to multi-park tickets, guests can choose what best fits their itinerary.

Over the years, Dubai Parks & Resorts, which already includes Bollywood and movie-themed parks, as well as a Legoland, has changed CEOs, sought a freeze on loan repayments for three years and fired nearly a third of its staff.

During the stifling hot summer months of June to August, Dubai's green spaces are little used during the day. But after dark, when the temperatures have lowered a little, local families, walkers, and runners head to the parks for some outdoor time.

Dubai's parks are at their busiest in the cooler months (approximately October to April), when they become the best places to visit for picnicking and barbecuing on the weekends. The most popular parks can get packed on a sunny weekend day at this time.

There's plenty to keep the smaller members of the family entertained with a dinosaur park (complete with animatronic dinosaur models and a small museum devoted to dinosaurs) and a glow garden, which is lit up with twinkling lights, creating a fairy-tale garden after dark, both in the park's southern section. Plenty of other dedicated areas throughout the park have children's playground equipment. 2351a5e196
