Summer is finally here, and you deserve every minute of it! After a year full of learning, growing, reading, writing, counting, exploring, and trying your best, it is time to relax and enjoy a well-earned break. I hope your summer is filled with fun adventures, family time, laughter, and many special memories.
Even while you are enjoying your vacation, remember that learning can happen everywhere — at home, outside, while traveling, during reading time, or even while helping your family. The activities in your summer packet are designed to help you continue practicing the important skills you learned in 1st grade so they stay fresh in your mind when you enter 2nd grade.
Your summer work is not just about earning an invitation to the Back-to-School Celebration. It is a chance to stay confident in your learning, continue building strong habits, and show how much you have grown this year. Every page you complete is another step toward becoming an even stronger 2nd grader through reading, practicing math , reviewing Quran/Arabic and Islamic Studies, and continue to stay curious about the world around you.
Most importantly, enjoy your summer and take pride in all the progress you made this year. I know you will continue to learn, grow, and do amazing things in 2nd grade.
Have an amazing summer!Â
Best wishes,
Mrs. FarooquiÂ
