What is it?
An investigation into products that could fit your design brief, these should be examples of your competition.
You are looking to analyse these products to find all their key features that could help in designing and making your own product.
The Analysis needs to be in-depth, full sentences (not 1 word labels) and you can use colours or themes to help present the page.
Tips?
- Use Colour to help organise different types of analysis
- Write as much detail as possible
- Find images that are exciting and represents your own idea
- Put down as much detail as you can, add your own thoughts
Content Checklist...
It must contain:
- Page Introduction
Option 1
- At least 6 images of existing products.
Option 2
- A mood board of images on 1/3 of a page
- At least 5 images of existing products.
Option 3
- At least 6 existing products
- Range of secondary source images
- Range of primary products tested/evaluated.
- Each product should be fully analysed
- Asthetics
- Costs
- Customers
- Environment
- Safety
- Size
- Function
- Material
- Your opinion
- Any other areas of analysis.
