DSC NUS by Google Developers

Official page of Developer Student Clubs in the National University of Singapore

In 2017, DSC was launched in India as a pilot programme. DSC aims to create a ripple effect of positive impact throughout communities by marrying the two most powerful mediums of today- the youth and technology 👩🏻‍💻👨🏻‍💻

The programme has since expanded its presence and is now in Indonesia and Africa. This year, we continue growing our global footprint to reach Asia, Europe, parts of the Middle East and North America. We are going to be in 700 universities around the world by the fall of 2019!

We welcome students from all majors who are interested in impacting communities with technology

What is DSC?

Developer Student Clubs (DSC) is a programme presented by Google Developers. DSCs are university-based community groups where students can experience personal growth through developing solutions for their communities. Google does not own or manage DSCs- they are run by the Lead from each university.

What is DSC NUS?

DSC NUS is the local chapter started by one of our 7 DSC Singapore Leads, Jason. Through DSC, we want to equip students with technology to create real impact among communities so that nobody gets left behind 💪 We set ourselves apart from the other DSC chapters by focusing on developing diverse solutions (not restricted to mobile and apps) for Non-Profit Organizations. Areas we are interested in include but are not limited to: the environment, education, elderly, children, healthcare, special needs and anything related to benefiting communities. Find out more about us.

How did we start DSC NUS?

Our Lead signed up to represent Developer Student Club NUS and was fortunate enough attend the DSC Southeast Asia Summit in Kuala Lumpur this year. The 7 Leads from Singapore had the opportunity to meet other Leads from SEA and Googlers from all over the world! Check out the life-changing event.

Join us if you are interested in creative problem solving and using technology to benefit your community.
