You can import HDR photos or directly capture an HDR photo in Lightroom for mobile. Lightroom for mobile automatically imports pictures from your device to Lightroom. You can then open the HDR photo that you want to edit and follow the steps shared below.

When an HDR photo is viewed on an SDR display, it must be adjusted or tone-mapped to preserve its appearance as closely as possible. The High Dynamic Range section provides additional options for previewing a photo on an SDR display and adjusting its appearance. These controls affect how Lightroom for mobile saves an HDR photo when the HDR Output box is unchecked in the Export dialog.

Software support for HDR photos across is limited. Currently, you can use the HDR Output feature in Lightroom to view and edit HDR photos and save them to disk in the AVIF formats to be viewed in Google Chrome.

Other apps on your macOS system, such as Finder, Preview, and Safari, may not currently support reading AVIF or JPEG XL photos. Even if they do, they may not support displaying HDR content. The same applies to apps on other platforms, such as Windows, Android, and iOS.

The camera roll on your device only backups to Microsoft OneDrive - it does not sync photos both ways. That means you can delete backed up photos and videos from your device, and the copies in OneDrive won't be affected.

If your camera backup is taking too long to set up or look for photos, without giving any error message, it could be because you have too many photos in your camera roll, or that you are out of storage space. Read What does it mean when your OneDrive account is frozen?

Hi, I have the photo uploader feature turned on on my Samsung Galaxy S7, which I believe works overall. Although I have noticed that if I need it to upload a photo that I have recently taken, I need to open up the app on my phone before it will upload. I took a photo this morning; 4 hours later it still hadn't uploaded by itself. Once I opened up the app, it uploaded immediately. Older photos have been uploaded eventually, although I don't know how long it took.

It worked fine with my old phone, but now I have this problem with my Pixel 3. Pain in the ass. Opening the app doesn't do it for me. I have to open the Camera Uploads folder, then it immediately adds the photo and syncs.

Starting with the June 2023 release of Lightroom for mobile (Android), you can directly access and edit your device photos in Lightroom for mobile. Select the Gallery tab to access your device photos and the Lightroom tab to access the images you've already edited in Lightroom. You can also enable auto import to automatically import all new photos and videos from your device to Lightroom for mobile.

You can import photos (including raw images) and videos from your DSLR camera into Adobe Lightroom for mobile (Android). You can do it by connecting your mobile device in (PTP mode) to the DSLR camera using a supported USB OTG cable.

For importing photos into Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for mobile on Android devices that have a USB C-type connector, Adobe recommends using a USB C-type OTG cable instead of C-type adapters to connect the DSLR camera.

When launching Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for mobile (Android) for the first time and importing photos from a plugged in camera without signing in, the import interface displays a star (*) badge on the thumbnails of certain raw photos. The star badge indicates that you need to sign in to the Lightroom app with your Adobe ID to edit these raw photos.

Android's file-manager now opens on your device. In the file-manager, tap () icon at the upper-left corner choose a source from where you want to import the photos and navigate to the required folder.

To view your recently imported photos, go to the All Photos album. In the All Photos view, tap the three-dots () icon at the upper-right corner of the screen and choose Sort By Import Date. Your recent imports now appear at the top.

Some of the photo apps may not display the Add To Lr option when you share multiple photos. For example, Dropbox allows you to export only one photo at a time to Lightroom for mobile (Android) in the following manner:

When I implement a Photo Picker functionality in my app using Photo Picker Android library. I have access only Camera, Screenshot and Download folders including some recent photos/videos, Not the complete access. But in one of the google implemented app (Snapseed), Same kind of photo picker can access the Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT picker to acess other directories after clicking on browse button. For reference I have attached a screenshot

Previously I was using ActivityResultContracts.PickVisualMedia() as outlined in the docs. With that, I wasn't getting the browse option on the photo picker. With the code above, I do. I also tested on an Android 11 device and it works fine using the old gallery UI.

Since our last blog post, we started rolling out support for the GET_CONTENT intent in the Android photo picker whenever the specified MIME type filter matches image/* and/or video/*. As the rollout will continue in the upcoming months, make sure to test your app once your device has the feature enabled:

Later this year, the photo picker will seamlessly support cloud storage providers like Google Photos, allowing users to select their remote content without having to leave your app, and without any code change on the developers side.

ShortPixel Photo Optimizer sends the photos on the mobile device to our Image Optimization Cloud (IOC). There, the photos are processed (e.g. optimized, resized) depending on the selected parameters. After optimization, the photos are downloaded to the mobile device and saved either in another folder or over the original version of the photo.

The original version of the photo is usually deleted after a few seconds, right after it has been optimized. Then, the optimized version is kept on our IOC for up to 30 minutes, enough time for the mobile app to download it. After a maximum of 30 minutes, the photos are permanently removed.

I would take such minor foibles of an Android and still enjoy the tight integration that android provides with the wonderful google services. Especially Google voice and Google Satnav, best of the class and free.

Android 4.2 comes with a new camera feature, called Photo Sphere, which is designed for taking 360-degree photos. If you're having trouble imagining that, it's basically a photo mode that turns you into a human Google Street view camera.

Here's a pleasant -- if pointless -- new feature. When your Android gadget is idle or stuck in a dock, it'll flick through photos or display news stories, without you having to do anything. This would be useful for anyone who works with an Android tablet in a dock by their side.

We are trying to build multiple Photobooths next to each other, which are equipped with a tablet that has a UI to select and upload certain photos in a folder. Right now we use canon 700d/750d (which are at this point roundabout 7-10years old) with flashair cards to take the pictures and transfer them to the tablet where they can be selected and uploaded. The problem is: the lag and the delay. Most of the time the pictures are nearly as fast on the tablet as you can shoot (we don't shoot RAW for some reason) but every once in a while it starts to lag and lack connection... like 20-30 min. or more... 2351a5e196
