I'm just confused about what's going on. This wasn't an issue prior to the 29th. I have updated the drivers, updated windows, made sure Audio Service & Audio Endpoint Builder are on Automatic, even done a system reset, but nothing addressed the issue other than manually disabling the mic. Plugging the same webcam into another Windows PC (running Windows 8) didn't produce any issues, so it's not the hardware. Everything I read said it was likely to do with the drivers, but Windows says they're all up to date.

Let me put my small tweak here... Restarting audio services helps sometimes but in my case the problem was that sometimes one channel ONLY (most of the time it's the left one) suddenly stops. Restarting audio services did not fix it. What i do with success is simply go into speaker settings - advanced and change the "default format" to something else (e.g.24bit 48khz studio quality) , apply the new setting and then revert to my preferred one and apply the new setting again. That fixes it every time.

Looking to select the Kemper audio driver from Reaper, I saw no specific ASIO option for the Kemper but only Generic Low Latency ASIO driver - which I tried and it worked immediately with some crackles. I recorded a short test piece into Reaper and playback was audible through the return ASIO driver to the KPA with headphones connected. After updating Reaper to the latest version and restarting the KPA and Rig Manager I tried to set the same arrangement up and the only audio output option for the generic low latency ASIO was now the laptop speakers (Realtek) and no option to use the generic low latency ASIO to run audio to the KPA via USB.

If you need to work with many different inputs (mics, other audio devices) in a studio or home studio context, then you might be better with SPDIF and your multi-channel audio interface. Neverthless, if the KPA can function as a clean audio input for guitars and an easy way to record the profiler output - very handy with just a laptop for example - then this will be very useful. If the MIDI inputs could also be used for recording (using the KPA as a thru box for a keyboard for example) then you would have a very flexible setup with just the Stage and a laptop.

Maybe this is helpful for someone: I had issues to get the USB recording to work with reaper on windows. ASIO4ALL did not let me record 4 inputs at once, with direct sound I was not able to hear anything although things got recorded, with wave out I had horrible delays and clipping. What worked for me was:

I am trying to build an application for intercepting the audio from player before it reaches the real sound card and redirect the audio stream to RDP virtual channel so that to play the audio at the speaker of remote client.

Another way would be using Stereo Mix in your recorder devices section of your windows. However it captures analog output from your sound card and you should stick this in your mind that it's analog, not digital. And yes I am searching to capture audio stream before reaching sound card just like you, so I hope if somebody knows how to do this, shares answer with us.

I'm using QEMU with KVM in virt-manager, with a Windows 10 guest. I've noticed the audio is very choppy, and will cut in and out constantly.

After installing most of the virtio drivers for Windows, and trying all the different sound device options shown in virt-manager, I still get the same choppy audio. My host is Ubuntu 18.04, and I'm using headphones through a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

I tried the ich6 and ich9 and had the same issue with a Windows 7 guest. I then switched to the old ac97 type, installed the hardware-driver for this in the Windows guest, and the constant skipping-audio stopped.

i am not that experienced with Spice and audio stuff, but there are other ways to pass through the Sound of the VM to the Host. I use Scream - i dont know much about it, but is seems like it just works. It uses the Networkbridge to Stream the Sound - and i havent had many trouble with it. maybe thats an alternative.

NOTE 1. If the problem is solved but occurs when using some programs, see TROUBLESHOOTING from this GUIDE, namely: My guest machine freezes consequently my USB audio interface crashing (for passthrough solution using an additional PCIe Gen3 x4 USB 3.2 card).

Troubleshooting has been tested on an USB audio interface, but should be suitable for built in sound card as well.

Forgive me if this is the wrong section to post this in, but I've searched Google and the forums here and can't seem to find a good fix for my problem. When I fire up a program that uses ASIO4ALL (such as Kontakt or Cubase), it immediately causes all other audio from my PC to stop working, such as Chrome (YouTube) and my media player. I need to be able to watch YouTube tutorials and/or hear my media player while my ASIO4ALL-using programs are open.

Thanks everyone for your answers. I've done a little further digging and discovered a driver called FlexASIO that allows for multiple audio streams. I've already tried it in Cubase and it works perfectly with no latency and I was able to switch over to YouTube and watch video with sound. I'm thrilled beyond measure. Thanks again for your help!

Some audio interfaces have two drivers exclusive (just one source possible) and non-exclusive (concurent sources possible). If your audio interface has non-exclusive driver, use it in ASIO4All and audio interface might possibly (I am not sure) work also for other audio sources simultaneosly.

Hi, I'm trying to connect an amp & speakers to my pc running on windows 10 although no sound comes out, when i plug the jack cable into my iPad or iPhone it works ok, although noticed just to the left of the left of the song on my pc there's an icon missing, that i click on my iPad to select which speakers to use? Anyone know how i can get that icon back on my iTunes? The icon i am referring to is just below the play button..

Thank you! Just downloaded the latest itunes for a new work laptop with windows 10 and I was getting baffled because I could hear everything else except my icloud music library in itunes! thank you! It worked!

Ever since thae last Win10 update I have no audio and the video playback is messed up. Device Manager shows audio and graphics drivers are functioning properly and audio playback device shows audio signal. I reinstalled the default audio and graphic drivers but still no go.

This guide describes some tools and techniques you can use to improve the performance of your PC for audio applications. Although every system is different, the techniques described below will help you to diagnose problems and suggest various changes to improve performance.

Misbehaving drivers for non-audio hardware are often the cause of audio glitches. Any device driver on the system is a privileged piece of software, and if it is delayed while completing a task, it may delay or prevent other tasks on the system from running. This is bad news for audio software and drivers that need to run at regular intervals to ensure low latency glitch-free operation.

As a workaround, please convert the file as a .WMV file option and save it in My Media. The following are directions on how to convert a PowerPoint Presentation with audio to a .WMV file. For more support or to help troubleshoot issues, please reach out to the LTS Help Desk at helpdesk@uwec.edu.

Microsoft PowerPoint offers features to record audio narration and export it as a video. PowerPoint records audio slide-by-slide rather than in one continuous file, allowing creators to easily re-record a slide if they make a mistake or need to change something later. Exporting as a video and uploading to Kaltura or Canvas for streaming is advantageous since it standardizes file types, doesn't require a download to view, is in a format that can be captioned, and allows viewers to navigate more efficiently.

The following instructions explain how to add audio to your PowerPoint presentation on Windows 10 and export that PowerPoint as an MP4. The text instructions cover the same information as the embedded video below.

Audio ports are exposed to elements that may cause a build-up of dust or even physical damage. Audio performance issues may occur if there is any damage that is caused to the audio cables or the audio ports on the computer.

Most desktop computers come with 3 or more audio connectors. Most laptops come with one combo connector that supports both headphones and a microphone. Verify that the speaker or soundbar cables are connected properly from the device to the computer. Audio connectors and plugs on the sound card are color-coded on desktops to help with a proper connection (Figure 1).

The default audio playback device is Microsoft Windows's device to output (play) sound. You can select which device to use by default when connecting speakers, soundbar, earphones or headphones, Bluetooth headset, or other audio devices to the computer. Windows can play audio through the speaker or line-out port, Bluetooth, HDMI, DisplayPort (DP), or USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports. Selecting the correct playback device and checking the volume settings for audio playback to work on the computer is essential. 2351a5e196
