I gathered lots of tunes but I need some more inspiration on how to arrange a good deep dnb set. Looking for some good mixes, preferably with good audio quality, diversity in track selection (different drum patterns and sounds), nice transitions and without a mc (imho it seems like with an mc you can pull more shit in your set that would otherwise sound awkward without one).

Now, I wanted to share four live sets that I think will help you fall in love with Drum & Bass. These live sets are high-energy and filled entirely from beginning to end with some high-speed DNB. Each set has a unique style and sound that will introduce a versatile mix of DNB subgenres.

The drum kit, also called "the drums," is a group of percussion instruments arranged so that they can be played by one person. The basic drum kit is comprised of any number of other percussion instruments, but primarily of large and small drums and cymbals, with the special tonal qualities of each being used in a performance. The drum kit can easily be rearranged to suit a particular musical genre or sound, and so the number and types of percussion instruments included will vary from drummer to drummer. Some drummers use tambourines, cowbells, blocks, and other instruments for the special texture that they add, and some drummers even incorporate electronic drums.

Though there is no original standard configuration for drum kits, drum kits have a five-piece set, including two tom-toms, a floor tom, a bass drum, and a snare drum. The floor tom is a tom-tom that has a stand or legs and sits on the floor. The bass drum creates a low sound and is played with the foot by stepping on a pedal. The snare drum is a shallow drum that most strongly expresses the individual style of a drummer. The basic cymbals include the large ride cymbal, the crash cymbal-which is used for accents-and the hi-hat, with its two stacked cymbals whose degree of separation can be controlled to prolong or shorten the sound of the cymbals.

In general, the drums are arranged in front of the drummer from left to right in order from the drum with the highest tone to that with the lowest. Because the tone of the drum is lower as the diameter increases, the drums get increasingly bigger from left to right as well.Originally, the biggest drum was the bass drum, but today, this is not usually the case.

Though the drums do not have a clear pitch, their range of tone sounds something like this.

The deal with this kit was that the other Phil made it. It was based upon the Premium Standard Pro kit from Singular. You had to prove to Phil that you had, in fact, purchased the kit. I have a version of this kit that I made, but frankly, if you have purchased the kit, I have posted NUMEROUS sets of bass samples from which you could create a bass part for the Standard Pro kit. That said, I will treat access to my NP Standard Pro with Bass kit in the same manner that Phil did. Prove to me that you own the Standard Pro kit from Singular, and I will send you a link to my kit.

Just using larger diameter barrels is only part of the equation. In order to create a truly superior instrument, much thicker steel is required as well. Not only is there more mass in the note panels but the interstitial is much thicker as well. The non-note area of the drum face functions as the frame that supports the notes. Because it is more rigid it provides the proper stability that each note needs. Coyle Drums is the only company in the world using 1.4 mm steel for Basses. This results in an instrument that barely goes out of tune. We find that after the 2nd tune up our Basses rarely go out of tune at all.

If your beginning drummer is younger than eleven or twelve years old, they may have trouble reaching and playing everything on an adult sized drum kit. Manufacturers make junior sized kits where drum diameters have been scaled down to allow younger kids to reach all drums and kick pedals.

Transporting drums requires a lot of space, so make sure you are prepared to take them with you and have a place prepared to set them up at home. The store will also have drum cases for sale, but this will add to the overall cost and may not be necessary unless the drums are being moved a lot.

For beginners, should you buy new or used? While used drum sets can offer significant savings, first time buyers may be overwhelmed by the options and choices. New kits offer many advantages including warranties and you know that the kit has not been abused.

There are a lot of options for shell packs that will get you a set of drums without hardware or cymbals. You'll get a broader range of brand and aesthetic options this way, and most brands and models should be totally decent.

To find the best drum brands for your kid, it's always wise to read up on the reputation of the brand and find any reviews of the specific product you're looking at. There will likely be more than one option at each price point, so choose something with a good reputation that your kid will think is cool.

One of the big concepts at School of Rock is that if we help our students love playing their instruments, they get better that much faster. Having a set of drums that looks cool and excites your kid's interest can make it that much more fun to sit down and play.

The second tier of all-inclusive kits can be pretty decent and will save you from having to assemble a set from a la carte pieces. Just like the big guitar brands have affordable sub-brands, the big names in drums have entry-level models that are usually quality.

Most major drum companies produce great beginner kits. It is generally recommended that you stick to the best-known drum brands: Ludwig, Tama, Pearl, Slingerland, Sonor, DW/PDP, Gretsch, and Mapex are all trusted brands.

The drum is one of the simplest musical instruments ever invented, but since the introduction of synthesizers in the 70s and 80s, drummers have had the option of computerized electronic drums that can produce a wide range of sounds. Even if you decide to go with traditional acoustic drums, there are two types of drum kits to choose from.

But the sound of your drums is influenced by many factors. The type of wood used is one of them, but other important factors include the number of piles (wood layers) in the drum shell, the diameter of the drum, and the depth of the drum.

A drum set is made up of many elements, the main categories are drums, cymbals, and hardware. The drum set is a fairly modern instrument as it was developed in the early 1900s with the invention of the first foot pedal. This allowed a drummer to play more than one drum and produce a fuller sound. Prior to this, drummers stood or marched as they played single elements of the drum kit.

When shopping for a drum set for your teenager or child, you also have the option of buying all parts of the drum set separately, as well as buying the parts of the individual drums separately. This is the approach that will take the most time on your part, but you can end up with better quality and potentially save some money, too.

If you are familiar with drummers such as Neil Peart or Terry Bozzio, you may have seen really large drum sets with lots of drums and cymbals. For the beginner, a 4 or 5-piece kid's drum set is the best place to start. Larger kits take up a lot of space and are much more expensive. As you progress musically, you can always add more drums to the existing kit.

The last thing you want, once you've picked out the best beginner drum set for your kid, is to have it sit untouched for the rest of her/his childhood. At School of Rock, we focus on teaching students to enjoy playing their instrument first and build the broader concepts of music on top of that foundation, using performance as the motivation and the payoff.
