Elves

Introduction

The elves are peaceful and brilliant people that live in harmony with nature. Elves are extremely playful beings, and they exhibit playful behavior amongst themselves and with beings they determine are great people. Play is a critically important part of their culture and they truly enjoy playing pretend, acting, storytelling, dancing, singing, and improvisational theater activities. They have been known to play with humans throughout history when the realms were closer and physical interaction were possible between Fae and Earth.

Elven Technology

The elves develop organic and biologically inspired magical technology and building techniques that form the basis for their society.

The elves combine their collective effort to research one single piece of technology or innovation. Their entire society focuses on developing that one piece of technology and most scientific and production resources are tasked with bringing the idea to fruition.

The Elves have something like electricity throughout their cities and use it to power their homes and technology.

The Elves value spirituality and beauty as the cornerstone of their technological development and civilization structure.

Elven Magic

Elf magic is highly systematic. They tap into the aether and request/persuade the energy to become a part of magical workings. They are highly skilled in all forms of physical magic. They have a magical language used to creatively express ideas that then begin manifesting in reality. The magical language of the elves is the only magical language in Fae. It is used by the other races, but the elves truly know how to understand its mysteries.

Elves have an advanced form of telepathy that is complex and intricate. They use a combination of language, imagery, and emotional transference to communicate deep truths. Their telepathy has no proximity based limitations. Each elf has their own telepathic network that is extended to the people they know, which we might consider to be part of that network. The network is expanded through daily interaction by becoming close friends with an individual. An elf’s close friends can color their mood, sentiment, and perspective. For example, if an elf’s close friend was having a particularly lovely day, that emotion could transmit on the network and both individuals would experience that emotion.

The elves live ornately in hollowed out and vibrantly alive Great Trees. These homes are crafted and enacted into existence through magical song, dance, and energy shaping. Each abode is sung into existence in a co-creative act with the spirit of the tree.

The elves grow symbiotically within the evolving fabric of society and harmonize to it in addition to singing it slowly into a beautiful tapestry of radiantly glowing and balanced lifeforce. For these reasons, some elves could be likened to the yogis and ascetic individuals from Earth, which are rumored to have superhuman abilities, such as levitation, healing, and similar psychic powers. They study the universe and learn how to flow down its great river of knowledge and wisdom until a matter calls their attention and spirit to act in a particular direction.

Elven Language

The elves have a magical language that they use to causually interact with the fabric of the universe in Fae. This magical language is highly prized and exclusive to the elves, though some individuals do know particular words, but the pronunciation is not the same. They have a different language that they use for everyday interaction, though the two languages share similarities. Due to the language-based format of their magic, it is consistent, systematic, and highly effective.

Dragon Riders

Some elves and fairies are dragon riders, and they call upon the ancient and mysterious magic of dragons to enact change in the environment. Their relationship to the Dragons is similar to the beings portrayed in the Movie Avatar. In that movie, the Na’vi (the blue beings) are closely linked to the dragon type beings that they pair and bond with. Elves and Dragons have a similar strong bond that enables the Elf or Fairy to feel the direction and flow of the Dragon and react accordingly with ease.
