Summary
Write a concise summary of the Case. State clearly (1) the case/issue/problem (2) three options to address the Case (3) Which option do you recommend to solve the Case (4) logic and theory for the recommendation (5) what is the state of the Case now (resolved or unresolved). Explain.
Introduction
Context and background information relating to the Case, e.g., firm data, industry trends... What is the Case? Why is it worth investigating and correcting it? What are the learning objectives from the Case? What are you trying to achieve, e.g., solving the Case, developing a theory, or making an argument through the Case? State the significance and value of the case study. The Case should prove or demonstrate a point.
Body
Describe the case situation through analysis of data, facts, figures, PESTEL, SWOT, financial ratios, and Porter Forces, among others. Use all the knowledge and skills you acquired to solve the Case. Provide three options/alternatives/strategies to solve the Case. Choose the best option and explain how the Case would be resolved. Your option can have your opinion.
Conclusion
Provide three thought-provoking questions intended to stimulate discussion around the Case. Summarize the main points. Write what is happening with the Case now.
References
Your case study must be backed by references cited in the text (as last name, year), including newspapers, magazines, companies, or government websites, with complete URLs written in the Reference section. Do not cite the same citation in the same paragraph or page. Also, do not cite Wikipedia, blogs, PowerPoint slides, or unknown websites. Otherwise, it is a C. You can have your informed opinion on the recommendation. Credibility and verifiability are important.
Use APA style: Singh, S. & Peter, T. (xxxx). Title of article. Journal Name, vol (no), xx-xx.
Other Points
You will be marked based on your ability to identify the Case clearly and present your options, strategies, and arguments logically, coherently, and critically to solve the Case. To get an A, your recommendation should be based on empirical analysis of data, and it should demonstrate an insight into the Case. A descriptive synthesis of analysis is B/B+; reporting of facts is C/C+.
Do not use AI as it may violate copyright. It is a C. Do not collect primary data from a person. You do not have ethics clearance.
Analyze only secondary data available at databases or company/government/NGO websites.
As a guideline, your case study should be about 20-25 pages, 1.5 space, and 12 fonts, excluding Tables, Graphs, and Appendices. It should be edited and proofread. Clarity is important. Do not convert the Word document into a .jpg. Do not use an Open Source Word processor.
