Sep 5, 2018 – May 8, 2019—Wed,Fri

Period: 08:30 AM - 10:00 AM

Location: ECWPA

Instructor(s): Tom Murrin

This class is designed to utilize the numerous components of drone aircraft and related equipment and the STEM-based learning opportunities these components provide.

The learning challenges and materials used in our program allow for diverse knowledge and skill development – the kind needed for future careers in an innovative, yet competitive global economy.

  1. will work with various drone aircraft. From RTF (Ready To Fly), to buildable / rebuildable, to programable drones. And other related equipment, such as radio control transmitters, First Person View video systems, battery power systems, and more will also be incorporated into the program.

Students will be taught why drones are - or will be - important to their lives. They will be taught the ‘Big Picture’ that recognizes that the aircraft itself or the flying of a drone are but parts of the overall value of drone technology. And they will also be enlightened to some of the numerous STEM-specific disciplines related to drones. There will be no book involved but we will regularly incorporate handouts and other instructional materials.
