Hi,
Need experienced academician to proofread your academic writing? Need the best translator? You have come to the right place!
My students call me 'Dr M'. I am retired from teaching now; I had taught in the Faculty of Medicine at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), then in Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan University College (KLMU) as the founding Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, and lastly in Sime Darby College of Health Sciences as the Dean/Vice President II.
Here's my legacy website Dr Mohdzir's Lecture Notes.
I have proofread hundreds, maybe thousands, of documents: articles for journals, theses/dissertations, and book manuscripts, mostly from postgraduate students and young lecturers. Apparently they like that my fee is reasonable, and I do not just proofread, I edit and comment as well. Plus, I always try to deliver on time. Oh, and I can provide a PDF certificate of proofreading upon request.
Here's my Facebook page: facebook.com/drmohdzir.
I translate documents from Malay to English and vice versa. I am certified by the Malaysian Institute of Translation & Books.
Most of my translation works are with publishers/corporations, but sometimes I do receive individual requests to translate abstracts, questionnaires, guidelines, or CVs.
My proofreading fee is RM0.02–0.05 (2–5 cents) per word of the original document, depending on the estimated number of corrections to be made.
My translation fee is RM0.05–0.20 (5–20 cents) per word of the source text, depending on the complexity of the text.
For articles or translations, the normal turnaround time is one week. If you're in a HURRY, you may request for three-day delivery at DOUBLE the price for cutting the queue. If you're in a REAL HURRY, you may request for 24-hour delivery; I'll have to drop whatever I'm doing and charge you TRIPLE the price. Mind you, I can only go for about 10 000 words per day.
For theses/dissertations and books, the usual turnaround time is 2–4 weeks.
Email your document to drmohdzir@gmail.com. You might want to notify me by WhatsApp/Telegram at +6013-3304824.
I shall glance through the document and reply with a quotation as soon as possible. Feel free to negotiate or put in a special request.
The proofread document (with tracked changes) or translated document will be delivered in the agreed turnaround time, along with my account number for payment through online banking.
Most people know how to accept or reject tracked changes in MS Word, but after I receive the payment, I can send the clean version if you want.
My email is drmohdzir@gmail.com
My WhatsApp/Telegram number is +6013-3304824
For article proofreading, it's good to mention the intended journal so that I can Google the journal's instructions/guidelines to authors.
For thesis/dissertation proofreading, I would prefer you to send the COMPLETE thesis rather than chapter-by-chapter, so that I can 'see the whole picture' and maintain consistencies. I'm familiar with the thesis format of Malaysian public universities, but if you're from other institutions, I'll need your thesis guideline.
