This Terms and Privacy Policy describes how the app Drive & Discover Norway (“the app”) handles user data and its terms. The app is designed to provide audio stories about culture, history, and places in Norway, automatically triggered based on the user’s location.
While the app is designed to process as much data locally as possible, we collect and process certain information to facilitate in-app purchases and manage subscription/entitlement status.
The following data may be processed:
Location data (GPS): Used to automatically trigger relevant audio stories based on your current position. Location data is processed locally and is not stored or shared with the developer or any third parties.
Device settings: Such as language preferences, used to provide the appropriate language in the app.
Transaction and Purchase Data: When you make an in-app purchase, we process transaction details (such as purchase time, product ID, and subscription status). To manage this, a randomized, anonymous user identifier (App User ID) is generated to associate your purchase with your device.
Data is used solely to:
Trigger audio playback based on your location.
Adapt the app’s language and functionality.
Validate, manage, and unlock your in-app purchases and premium features.
We do not sell your data. However, to provide core functionality, the app relies on the following trusted third-party services:
RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to facilitate, manage, and validate in-app purchases. RevenueCat receives pseudonymized transaction data and receipt details to ensure you receive access to the premium features you purchase. Please refer to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for more details.
Apple App Store & Google Play Store: In-app transactions are processed directly through Apple and Google using their secure native payment systems. These services are subject to their respective privacy policies.
System Services: The app relies on built-in operating system services, including Text-to-speech (TTS) and Location services (GPS) provided by Apple and Google.
Location data is processed in real-time on your device and is not stored.
Purchase-related data (such as subscription status and anonymous transaction IDs) is securely stored by our third-party service provider, RevenueCat, for as long as necessary to maintain your access to the purchased features. We do not store any credit card or personal payment details on our own servers.
You have the right to request information about, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold. Because we utilize pseudonymized identifiers for purchases, please contact us if you need assistance managing or deleting purchase-related records.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
By downloading and using Drive & Discover Norway, you agree to be bound by the standard terms of service provided by the respective app stores:
For iOS users, the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) applies.
For Android users, the Google Play Terms of Service applies.
All in-app purchases are final and handled directly by Apple or Google. If you wish to request a refund, please do so through your respective App Store or Google Play account.
