GT40 Heritage edition

In 1966 the Ford GT40 Mk, driven by Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby, won the 24-hours of Daytona. It was a monumental moment for Ford as they prepared to compete in the legendary 24-hour of Le Mans. Now Ford has released a limited run of their 2021 Ford Gt Heritage Edition sporting the same decals that the GT40 had the time that it won the race in 1966. The video posted by Ford shows a computer generated GT driving around the Daytona track showing off the sleek design and asymmetrical decals just like the original did. It is equipped with 20inch gold wheels and red Brembo brakes.

Ford put a resale embargo on the 2017 model year of the GT and after the waiting period was over the first GT sold for $1.5 million at an auction. These cars are extremely rare and special. No real pricing has been released for this Heritage Edition yet. The GT is set to stop production in 2022 so if you were thinking of dropping at least $500,000 for one of these then this is the perfect time to do so because it will surely become a classic collectible.
