Nissan Proto-Z

The All new z

Nissan finally unveiled their newly redesigned Proto-Z to the world. Why is it called "Proto-z"? Well that is because the car that Nissan showed to the world is just a prototype but it is really close to 100% of what the car will look like when it goes into production.

The all new Z will pay a lot of respect to his predecessors by having subtle design features that gives a nod to the past. So what do we know about the Z after watching the world wide digital release? Well for starters, we know that the car will be available with a twin-turbo V6 engine, a 6 speed manual transmission, and a manual handbrake. We have reported in the past that Nissan does not think that the electric vehicle technology is far enough to equipped one of their flagship cars with it. Nissan kept pushing the idea that they want to preserve the driver and car connection. This is most likely why they are keeping a manual transmission in their Proto-Z. Nissan did not release any information on the specs of the car. They did not mention any displacement for the engine or horsepower. Rumors suggest that the Proto-Z might be called the "400z" which would represent the 400 horsepower that the car would produce. The Proto-Z also shows a larger infotainment screen and a fully digital dashboard. About the design, the car has very aggressive body lines and a huge front grill that probably functions to let maximum air into the engine bay to keep everything at the right temperature.

Nissan has given enthusiasts everything they want, a manual transmission, a manual hand-brake, twin-turbo V6, and a sleek cool looking car. There are no dates as of this moment, but we can safely assume that this car will most likely start production somewhere around late 2021 or early 2022. Rumors say that the car might start at around $30-40,000. Regardless of all of this, we are pretty excited to finally see a newly design Nissan Z, hope you are too. Thanks for reading, stay buzzed.
