So Ford revealed a Mustang Mach-E on all of their social medias on July 21st and it is a crazy badass car capable of 1400 horsepower. The video shows the potential of the Mustang Mach-E and how it can stand up to previous modified Mustangs. The bad news is that this is too good to be true, because this is not a street legal vehicle. This Mach-E was designed by RTR and driven by its founder, Vaughn Gittin Jr. RTR is a company that focuses on customizing vehicles with after market parts to increase the performance.
However this is not a bad move on Ford's part. This will give the non-believers an idea of what the Mustang Mach-E is capable of. I understand that it still makes an "Electric Crossover" a hard pill to swallow. However, with the growing market of high perfomance SUVs, this vehicle will be able to claim a reputation that should be respected. This altered version of the Mach-E is equiped with 7 motors and a front drive shaft that can be disengaged to make drifting possible. Im sure that NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) will not be happy about that. Ford claims that this Mach-E is capable of 1400 Horsepower and generating about 2300-lbs of downforce at 160MPH. This Mach-E was created to be aerodymamic even when it is drifting sideways!
So why did Ford reveal this Mach-E that can't be purchased or even legally driven on a public road? Well Ford believes that this will encourage the enthusiasts and companies to develop new technologies for the future of automobiles. Unfortunately only the premium trims and the first edition will be available late this year. The GT and the other models will be available in late 2021. Hopefully Ford is able to keep the hype for this Mustang strong for another year. We are in a new chapter where cars are inevitably becoming eletrical and fossil fueled vehicles will phase out. It might not seem like a tidal wave now, but it is a constant drop that will eventually flood the market. Thank you for reading, stay buzzed.
