Drinking Water Week is celebrated nationwide the first full week in May each year. Drinking Water Week is designed to make people more aware of the benefits of tap water. This is an opportunity to recognize the vital role water plays in our daily lives. A safe, reliable water supply is critical to the success of any community. It creates jobs, attracts industry and investment and provides for the health and welfare of citizens in ways ranging from disease prevention to fire suppression. We often take water resources for granted, we find ourselves in a drought or when depleted water supplies threaten a community's future.

By far the largest source of drinking water for Missourians is surface water from the Missouri River. The abundant supply of water in the Missouri River and its closeness to the state's major population centers is what makes the use of this river as a drinking water source so popular. Groundwater is the next most used source of drinking water for Missouri's communities. In southern Missouri, good quality groundwater is easy to obtain and typically requires very little treatment to be used for drinking water. Some groundwater systems have the best of both worlds and use alluvial wells in valleys of the Missouri and Mississippi river system where they can get large volumes of water free of surface contaminants. Wells in the Missouri River alluvium provide groundwater to a significant population. More than half the state's population gets their drinking water from the Missouri River or its alluvial wells. The importance of this resource cannot be overstated.

Some of the most plentiful drinking water sources on the planet can be found right here in Central New York. Our local health and well-being are supported by safe and reliable water supplies, as well as the water professionals working to deliver drinking water to the community.

This image was created in 1931 by the talented French artist, Henri Le Monnier (1893 - 1978) for Source Verdier, a company that produced bottled mineral water. This poster is very decorative and charming despite it being over 85 years old. The poster was printed on two separate sheets that were merged together when mounted onto acid free barrier paper and then to canvas. It is a delightful image in a most impressive size.

Henri Le Monnier created a small body of work in the field of advertising posters. He worked mainly for the printer Affiches Lutetia based in Paris. Most of his designs were created from the 1920's - 1938 and are colorful, spirited, and somewhat humorous much in the style of Leonetto Cappiello and Jean D'Ylen who were more popular at that time. Le Monnier had a fine artistic hand and many of his posters are quite valuable in today's market.

If there's anything you want to know about posters, vintage or more modern, there's nothing Mr Ross doesn't know. His open and friendly manner helps one to choose the most suitable material whether for decoration, investment or whatever... I can't recommend him highly enough.

Just wanted to say thanks for the poster. You sent it on Thursday and it was delivered the following Monday (nearly quicker than it took us to get home) to our house in Perth, Australia. We have just had it framed. We love it; it goes perfectly with the room.

The Ross Gallery has the best selection of vintage posters I have ever seen. Seriously, if you are in the market, they are the people. And, they know everything there is to know about the posters' provenance.

Easy to print or share posters contain essential information on the Settlement Agreement, eligibility, and claims process. They can be readily displayed in physical locations such as Band Offices, Friendship Centres, and community gathering spots. They also contain contact information for the Administrator, Class Counsel, wellness support, and the official website.

National Clean Water Week is celebrated every year in June to remind everyone of the importance of protecting our water resources. Members of the NHWPCA dedicate their careers to keeping our waters clean in NH by operating wastewater treatment plants which help to eliminate pollution in our rivers, lakes, and streams. The Poster Contest was established to help spread the word about the need to keep our waters clean and unpolluted.

The motif extends all the way to the edges of the poster. This means that in many cases, edge sections of the motif must be cropped out. To do this, click on the motif and move it, right / left or up / down depending on the dimensions of the poster and the motif, until you are satisfied with the appearance of your poster.

A white border is placed around the motif. The motif is included in its entirety, so the width of the white border will depend on the motif's format and the size of the poster. The white border is included in the poster's dimensions.

The poster is supplied together with two hanging bars. The bars are 21 mm high and 10 mm wider than the poster. Our poster bars are easily attached with a magnet both at the top and bottom, which means that the bar can stay firmly in place without damaging the poster. The poster hanger bars come with your poster, including a cotton hanging cord in the same colour as the hanger.

Our posters are available in lots of sizes. Depending on whether you want to order a separate poster without accessories, a poster with hanging bars or with a picture frame, the sizes differ slightly. In the list, you will see which options are available, and you can easily choose whether you want your desired design as a landscape, portrait or square poster. The measurements shown first in the list are those that suit the design best.

DHSS is utilizing EPA's 3Ts Guidance to implement the program. This includes efforts to Communicate, throughout the implementation of the program, the results and important lead information to the public, parents, teachers, and larger community; (1) Train on the risks of lead in drinking water and testing for lead, as well as developing key partnerships to support the program; (2) Test using appropriate testing protocols and a certified laboratory; (3) Take Action, including the development of a plan for responding to results of testing conducted. Guidance is available from DHSS on addressing potential elevated lead remediation.

Resources that have previously been made available for testing for lead contamination in drinking water in schools and child care facilities will not be replaced by funds provided from this WIIN Grant: Lead Testing in School and Child Care Program Drinking Water. Grant funding will be used to supplement and enhance existing resources.

California will now require all newly constructed K-12 public schools, as well as any undergoing modernization, to provide water bottle filling stations. Gov. Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 2638 (Bloom, D-Santa Monica) into law on Sept. 29, 2022, after it received unanimous approval in its passage through the California Legislature.

AB 2638 instructs school districts to allow pupils, teachers and staff to carry refillable water bottles, with exclusions for areas in which water could be hazardous, for example libraries or computer labs. This information should be made publicly available to students, families and staff.

Groundwater Contamination Maps

The Groundwater Contamination Viewer uses monitoring data for public drinking water wells, select non-potable wells, fresh water springs, and other testing data available to the DOH. The system identifies organic and other chemical contaminants that have been detected and confirmed in drinking water wells, select non-potable wells, and fresh water springs throughout Hawaii.

The annual UNC Water and Health Conference reflects Water Institute's commitment to improving public health by achieving universal access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WaSH) services that are safe, affordable and sustainable. The conference provides a curated space where policymakers, practitioners and researchers can gather to review the evidence, interrogate the science and improve old and develop new approaches to expanding WaSH access and services.

Abstract decisions have already been announced and we are currently confirming both verbal and poster presentations. We will reach out individually to waitlisted abstract authors if we have any more poster slots available.

All 2023 UNC Water and Health Conference research verbal and poster presentations, Tech Showcase presentations, and travel scholarship winners decisions have now been made and selected individuals notified. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Conference this month.

Saint Paul Regional Water Services (SPRWS) found elevated levels of lead in drinking water in some homes/buildings. Lead can cause serious health problems, especially for pregnant women and young children. Please read the Important Information about Lead in Your Drinking Water Poster to see what you can do to reduce lead in your drinking water and to learn what SPRWS is doing to address this problem. For additional information, please visit epa.gov/lead

Lead is a common metal found in air, soil, household dust, and water. It is also found in consumer products, some types of food, pottery, pewter and lead-based paint. If breathed in or swallowed, lead can build up in the body. If too much lead enters the body, it can hurt the brain, nervous system, red blood cells, and kidneys. Children, infants, and pregnant women are at greater risk. ff782bc1db
