Disaster Risk Management Laboratory

Welcome to the Disaster Risk Management Laboratory at the Chungbuk National University

Our lab focuses on assessing and enhancing the resilience of infrastructure systems against natural disasters, particularly typhoons and strong winds. We employ AI-enhanced modeling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), dynamic analysis, and Monte Carlo simulations to evaluate the fragility and resilience of structures. Our integrated approach utilizes long-term and real-time field data analysis, alongside precise wind prediction models, to develop effective risk mitigation strategies for transportation safety and urban infrastructure resilience. Moving forward, we plan to expand our research to encompass a wider variety of natural disasters and infrastructure facilities, further broadening our impact on community safety and sustainability.
