Dr Hari Mohan Pandey

I am delighted to join data science & artificial intelligence department in the faculty of science & technology at University of Bournemouth, United Kingdom. I am from Varanasi - a city of temples of India. It is also known as city of lord Shiva.

I obtained bachelor (B.Tech.), master (M.Tech.) and doctorate (PhD.) degree all in computer science & engineering. I worked on several funded research projects like EU H2020 DREAM4CAR, Indo-US project Gentle, and a consultancy project for Inpods. In the past, I worked as a sr. lecturer in the department of computer science, Edge Hill University, a research fellow in machine learning with the Middlesex University London and a visiting researcher for Middlesex University London for EU H2020 project.

My research area includes artificial intelligence, soft computing, natural language process, language acquisition, machine learning, deep learning, algorithm design and analysis and data driven design. I am author of several books with leading publishers like Springer, Elsevier, and Pearson etc. I published scientific literatures in reputed journals and conferences. I delivered keynotes, invited lectures, and served as session chair for the international conferences. In addition, I contributed to outreach program for school students (6 – 8^th standard).

I am a fellow of the HEA of the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) and have a rich teaching experience at the higher education level. I was the recipient of the Global award for the best computer science faculty of the year 2015, award for completing Indo-US project GENTLE, award (Certificate of Exceptionalism) from the prime minister of India, and award for developing innovative teaching and learning models.

Other than teaching and research, I like watching football and cricket; walking and cycling; and sleeping to reenergizes myself. I also love to explore places and different food.
