Rosalia da Costa, née Ribeiro, daughter of our school's founder, Dr Rosendo Ayres Ribeiro and one of the first students to attend the school, passed away peacefully at her home, on March 25, 2023.
August 16, 1924 - March 25, 2023
Our beloved mother passed away peacefully at her home, on March 25th., at the age of 98.
She was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, aunt, teacher and friend to many.
She is pre-deceased by her loving husband of over 70 years, Arthur. She was an amazing mother to Norman, Leonor, Cathy (Ken), the late Manuel, Anne (Tom), and Marian.
Rosalia was a proud grandmother of her grandchildren, Damien (Tina), Miriam (Allan), Christa (Terence), Stephen (Cynthia), Rebecca, Aaron (Emily), and Jeanette (Eric). She was thrilled to welcome 12 great grandchildren into her life.
Rosalia was a talented cook, knitter, and teacher. She had a kind heart, deep faith and was a generous person, always looking for ways to help people.
She will be missed by friends and family, however she will forever remain in our hearts.
Rest in peace.

Friends & Family may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Monday, April 03, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the Nativity of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 04, 2023 at 9:30 a.m.
