Class of '50
It is with broken hearts that we share with you the sad news that Joseph I D’Souza (Joe) passed away on the evening of Thursday April 30 at Bridgepoint Hospital after bravely fighting to be here with his family. He never gave up hope, nor did his family and every effort was made to restore his health.
His family and many friends truly cherished the time we had with him and the help, guidance and love he bestowed on all of us. Joe moved to Canada from Nairobi, Kenya with his wife and children to build a better life in a country he would quickly love. His openness and interest in a wide array of activities led him to be an active member in many different clubs, associations and programs including designing and creating jewellery, the gem club, homeopathy and acupuncture. He was a man of the world with an inquisitive mind that embraced life.
He will be forever missed, honoured and fondly remembered as a devoted, hardworking, fun loving family man who would help absolutely anyone in need without a second thought and leave one and all with a smile on their face.
His family, in honour of his devotion to us, will do our best to continue along the path he has set. He is greatly missed by his loving wife Natalina, his Children Francis (Laurie), Ansettan (Valtino), Sidney and Alexander, his Grandchildren Ian, Victoria, Isabella and Tristan and his Siblings Theresa (Walter), Rose, John, Romeo (Connie) and Xavier (Ida), and all his wonderful family.
