Class of '61
Edmund Rodrigues, Born Nakuru, Kenya, 1945 expired peacefully on June 17, 2015 after a two-year struggle with cancer. Beloved husband of Antonia Forero. Loving father of Craig, Fr. Eric, Nicole Moore (Brandon) and Elissa Mowat (Brad). Fun-loving grandpa to Jayda and Greyson Mowat. Predeceased by his parents Caetano and Albina Rodrigues and by his siblings Mary, Edith, Jessica, Edwin, Grace and Veronica. Dear brother of his surviving siblings Bruno, Joseph (Lyn) and Astrid Pinheiro (Minguel), brother-in-law of Nash and uncle of Brian, Veruno and Jessica. Ed was a warm, thoughtful and loving man. His greatest pride was his family.
He emigrated to Toronto,Canada in the 1970's and worked for the Ontario Ministry of the Environment for 30 years before retiring. After retiring he pursued multiple consulting positions at Golder and URS.
During his career, he taught undergraduate courses in hydrogeology and earth sciences at the Universities of Waterloo and Toronto, and was recently a part-time professor in the Faculty of Building Sciences at George Brown College. Ed contributed to the betterment of the environment in Ontario.
Edmund will be greatly missed.
