Description ;
Chara is....a very complicated individual. Mistrusting, loud, blunt, insensitive, crude, impulsive and short tempered. They are not an easy person to get along with, most don't in fact. However, Chara normally means well or at least has good intentions, they've put up strong walls meant to block others out as a result of being brutally harmed in the past. Chara is not a mentally stable individual, they easily escalate things and often take matters to the most extreme option, while this is done with good intent it doesn't change the fact that it's led to some extremely unfortunate situations. Especially given their short temper.
Chara is largely defined by two things. One being rage, Chara is not forgiving and very spiteful towards others, especially those that wronged them. The other thing? Determination. Once Chara believes something must be done or needs to be done, absolutely nothing will stop them. Nothing can stop them, nothing is able to stop them. And Chara doesn't care what they have to do in order to accomplish their goals, even if it means hurting others.
Chara is not a foe by default, but when they are they'll be the scariest enemy you'll ever have to face.
Biography ;
Chara was hated by humanity since birth, they were born with unusually bright red eyes and pale skin. Immediately deemed to be demonic in nature, this led to Chara being mistreated for most of their early childhood, Chara was abused, beaten, neglected, and bullied by every other human they knew, Including their own biological family. Scars quickly covered their body and even their face, Chara being taught that they were not just an awful creature but one that deserved every piece of mistreatment they got. Years of extreme abuse drove Chara to the breaking point, they climbed to Mt. Ebott with the intention to commit suicide by jumping down into the abyss below. Fortunately this didn't happen.
Chara was injured from the fall, but survived. When calling out for help they met Asriel, who brought them back to his home, this is where Chara met the rest of the Dreemurrs then was taken under their care. Overtime they saw Chara as one of their own and eventually Chara returned the favor. At long last the child found a place where they were loved, cherished and where they could be happy. Chara especially struck up a strong bond with Asriel, who remained their first true friend and their beloved brother. However, we all know how this story goes and it does not end here nor does it end well.
The monsters were trapped underground, it requred seven human souls to break the barrier. But a monster with a human soul would be allowed to pass through, Chara could tell the monsters were miserable deep down and didn't want to be trapped here. Chara could even tell that their parents longed to be free too. When it came down to it? What was the life of a few humans for the betterment of monsterkind? Chara came up with a plan, they shared it with Asriel. Chara started to fall ill, at least that's what seemed to happen to everyone else, once Chara died Asriel consumed their soul then crossed the barrier.
Then everything fell apart.
