Dr. Chetan A. Nayak

Biographical Sketch: Dr. Chetan A Nayak, who has obtained his undergraduate and Masters degree from Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkuru and Doctoral degree from CSIR- Central Food Research Technological Institute (CFTRI), Mysore, joined BMSCE in the year 2011. Presently, he is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering. He is specialized in the area of downstream processing of biomolecules. His interest of research encompasses areas like Food Engineering, Water Purification using Membrane Processing, Transport Phenomena, and Microfludics. He is the recipient of Young Scientists for Research (SMYSR) award and has obtained grant from Vision Group of Science and Technology, Department of IT, BT & Science & Technology, Govt of Karnataka, 2013. He is also a recipient of International Travel Grant to Japan from Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, 2009 as well as CSIR Senior Research Fellowship, 2006. His aim is to create a knowledge pool towards judicious usage of natural resources and prevent its depletion. He has published research papers in peer reviewed International and National journals. He has executed and completed the project for which the grants were awarded
