Join My Group
I am building a research group where students in design, architecture and computing work hands-on with real, instrumented projects: XR experiences, digital twins and system models, often with external partners.
PhD research areas
Immersive design & spatial computing. XR design-research methods, capture-to-experience pipelines and experiential prototypes: how immersive interfaces support understanding, learning and decision-making.
Digital twins for human-centred environments. IoT-integrated 3D environments validated on live data, with attention to how people read and act on what a twin shows them.
Heritage, traditional knowledge & sustainability. Vernacular and traditional systems, especially water, as evidence for sustainable design and SDG localisation.
Systems thinking for socio-technical design. Modelling complex systems with causal loop diagrams and system dynamics, and translating community and traditional knowledge into design principles for products, services and policy.
Positions
PhD scholars: through MNIT Jaipur's regular admission cycle, in any of the areas above. Rolling interest.
Research interns: undergraduate and master's students in design, architecture or computing, for short projects in XR, 3D capture or systems modelling. Rolling interest.
Project positions (JRF / SRF / Project Associate): posted here when funded projects are sanctioned.
