The Dragonguard was a group of eight elite elven warriors sworn to protect the egg of the Dragon Prince, the son and heir of Avizandum and Zubeia. Following the death of Avizandum and Viren's intrusion into the dragon lair located inside the Storm Spire, the group was forcefully disbanded after most of its members were killed[1] or had fled the scene.[2]

Dragonguard members were not volunteers but were chosen to serve the duty, which was considered a great honor.[3] The guard consisted of different races of elves, including Moonshadow Elves and Skywing Elves.[2]

The uniforms of the Dragonguard consist of two sets of clothing: A thick gray shirt and pants, as well as a second, dark blue layer around torso, forearms, and legs, which serves as support of the armored pieces on top of it. The chest piece, which is colored in a light blue and purple hue and features two crossed bindings, bears the crest of the Dragonguard: a white dragon with folded wings that resembles a shield. A pair of cuisse protect the guards' legs up to knee height, while their forearms are protected by additional bracers. All pieces of the armored equipment are adorned with silver linings and pink gems embedded into them. Additionally, half of the members' horns are covered in silver armor. Golden beads were wrapped around Tiadrin and Lain's torsos and wrists.[2]

The Dragonguard was a group of eight elite elven warriors chosen to protect the egg of the Dragon Prince. Each member was chosen for their duty[3] after Avizandum and Zubeia were known to expect their first child. The members of the guard appeared to watch over the egg for the majority of its incubation time with little to no breaks in between.[5]

After Viren and King Harrow of Katolis confronted Avizandum at the foot of the Storm Spire on the day his egg was supposed to hatch, and eventually slayed him through the use of dark magic,[6] the Storm Spire was infiltrated by Viren with the intention of destroying the egg. Knowing the Dragon King had been killed and the egg was exposed to the enemy, most members of the guard decided to flee the scene after many of their comrades had been killed.[1] Although Tiadrin and Lain attempted to convince Hendyr to take the egg with him due to his ability to fly, they were met with ridicule, seeing as he did not wish to become a target and pointless sacrifice for the unhatched egg. Tiadrin and Lain stayed behind, as they intended to honor their oath to protect the egg, and faced Viren in a battle after he had successfully broken in. The two were eventually beaten in battle as their bodies were encased by ice cast through "Aspiro Frigis", though Tiadrin managed to convince Viren to take the egg with him instead of destroying it, as it could serve as a powerful dark magic ingredient. Tiadrin and Lain vanished without a trace after Viren trapped the pair into enchanted coins,[2][7] leading the rest of the elves to believe that they had fled with the rest of the Dragonguard. The inhabitants of the Silvergrove ghosted Tiadrin and Lain as a result,[8] though it is unclear whether the same or a similar punishment was declared upon the other members.

During the final hours before the battle at the Storm Spire against Viren's forces, Janai titled Rayla "The Last Dragon Guard", making her the last official member of the guard, who carried out her role of protecting Azymondias from Viren and Aaravos.[9] Although Rayla remains a Dragon Guard[10][11] during the new aspiring age of peace, her values to carry out this duty seem to have changed.

The Celestial Dragon Guard are the elite warriors of Grand Cathay and officially serve as the personal legion of the Dragon Emperor, his loyal defenders and bodyguards. As the Celestial Empire has expanded, more and more Dragon Guard have been added to the elite body known as the "Celestial Host," which now numbers enough that they can be dispatched to battlefields all over the Far East. Their arrival represents an exponential increase in power for any force of the Grand Imperial Army.[1]

The Celestial Dragon Guard are the personal bodyguard of the Dragon Emperor and the Moon Empress. As the most elite mortal warriors in the empire, they enjoy the finest weapons and armour and are almost always led by a member of the Celestial Empire's Dragon-blooded nobility.[2a]

The Dragon Guards were the personal guard of the Goa'uld Lord Kur whose terrifying imagery and reputation was inherited by his Jaffa. Each Dragon guard was trained to be a vicious warrior who would fight to the end, never surrendering in battle even when situations look dire.

Jaffa lore described the Dragon guard as cunning as well as deceitful warriors who would not hesitate to use any means to achieve victory in battle. This can be considered dishonorable by other Jaffa, however, it was a necessity to the Dragon guard in order to achieve victory through any means. As such, they were known to fight in seemingly impossible situations and emerged victorious thanks to their unadulterated savagery in combat.

In terms of weaponry, they were equipped with standard Jaffa armor, staff weapon and some carry Zat'nik'tel. Their helms, when activated, were fearsome to behold as they resembled a dragon which adds to the intimidation these warriors bring against the enemies of their master. They are also equipped with an additional weapon unique to their order namely the Dragon Talons which were twin blades that strap to the forearm and extended over the back of the hand roughly 8 inches in front of a closed fist. The blades were slightly curved downward roughly two inches from the tip, giving the weapons the appearance of a talon. They were used in close combat and allowed the guards a means to engage enemy troops when they were too close for staff weapons or Zat'nik'tel. (RPG: "Fantastic Frontiers: Stargate Season One")

In The Dragon Guard, you will find not only a dragon, but also a martial arts master, a soccer championship, an Indian shaman who goes to live among the wolfjackals, a mysterious illness that threatens the life of one of the elder Magickers, a deliberate traitor and an unintentional one, a creepy stalker, a huge breach of the Magicker equivalent of the statute of secrecy, and a race of horrible creatures who are mirror images of a Magicker, created to hunt them down and devour them.

We use selected materials for the various components of the dragon guard eas. The alarm volume is quite loud so users can hear the alarm at the checkout counter or even when they are away from the door.

Most decoders of the dragon guard eas are non-contact devices with a certain decoding height. The electronic tag can be decoded without touching the degaussing area when the cashier registers or packs the item. The decoder and laser bar code scanner works well with the equipment, so that payment and decoding are completed simultaneously. This makes it convenient for the cashier and the customer. Our system enables integration with the laser bar code. This eliminates mutual interference between the two devices and improves the decoding sensitivity. In case someone leaves the shop with undecoded goods, it will trigger an alarm in the EAS as they pass through the detector device. This enables the cashier, customers, and security personnel to deal with the issue in time.

The Dragonguard is the cadre of personal protectors and champions, established by Rhaegar I Targaryen, First of His Name and King of Meereen to replace the defunct Queensguard. They are similar in essence to the old Kingsguard, and Queensguard by relation, but took on a more Essosi warrior tradition than that of the Westerosi knights.

Believing that the oaths of the Kingsguard hold no real relevance in Meereen given the lack of landholding titles or knighthoods, King Rhaegar used the lack of a formal bodyguard sect to establish one more in line with his position in Slaver's Bay. In lieu of landed knights undertaking the general concept of sacrifice for duty, the Dragonguard are warriors and captains of note chosen to champion the Targaryen crown in Meereen. Though no standard oath of service exists, the king charges them to act in the following capacities:

Unlike the Kingsguard, there is no Lord-Commander or singular leader of the Dragonguard. All report to the king directly, and none have any authority over one another. All Dragonguard are granted quarters within a central wing of the Great Pyramid set aside as the Hall of the Dragonguard, though since none are forced to give up marriage or family, this is simply a formality. If a Dragonguard wishes to maintain a residence in the city, they are free to do so and retain their quarters in the Great Pyramid when necessary.

The armor consists of blackened scale mail covered with a breastplate, shoulder plates, and gauntlets. Upon the breastplate is a small crimson dragon sigil of the Targaryen house. If the bearer has a personal sigil or emblem of their house or association, it is embedded into the left shoulder plate. A long black cloak is fastened to the breastplate, with the dark crimson dragon centered upon it. e24fc04721
