In order to "Brew" a potion, all you need to do is take that potion out of a brewing stand. This means you can put a pre-made potion into a brewing stand, take it out again, and get the goal. Either way, brewing stands are essential for any of these goals. You can find a brewing stand, or craft one using a blaze rod.
This page has been made without considering Abandoned Camps, which in future may be in Draftout.
Brewing stands always generate in Igloo Basements with 1 splash potion of weakness in. The exact location is shown highlighted on the screenshot. Not every igloo will have a basement, but you can check for an igloo basement by looking on your pie chart for a sign (note that it's possible for taiga villages to have signs too, so be cautious if this might be the case). Brewing stands always drop themselves, so you do not need to break it with a pickaxe.
From Sam's village statistics, brewing stands are a 46.5% chance in Plains villages, 8.4% in Desert villages, 65% in Savanna villages, 26.4% in Snowy villages, and 9.3% in Taiga villages. If you want to further test knowing which village houses have which workstation, see this website.
The Plains village temples (brewing stands highlighted). The "church" on the right is more common and easier to spot from afar.
Both of the Desert village temples are rare. The left one has a chest and the right has lime glazed terracotta.
The Taiga village temple also has a potted poppy under the tower part.
The Snowy village temple can be identified by the distinctive tower at the top.
Savanna villages are best for brewing stands, and the temple on the right is by far the most common temple in the game.
You also find a brewing stand in End Ships, but given you need to kill blazes before you get to the End, this will be mostly ignored.
You can also craft a brewing stand from 1 blaze rod (dropped by blazes which spawn either from Blaze spawners in Nether Fortresses or spawning in the Fortress itself) and 3 of EITHER:
Cobblestone
Cobbled deepslate
Blackstone
This is not one of those items for which you annoyingly have to save cobble for. You can get blackstone or use any leftover cobbled deepslate you might have from caving.
13.79% chance from Trial Chamber Dispensers that are "Chamber" (e.g. show the ones that aren't, and waiting for Sam for statistics). There are two guaranteed Chambers: 1 next to the End Room, and 1 next to the Intersection. Then other chambers can generate through the copper doors out of the Corridors.
Brewing a lingering potion in the End requires
1 water bottle (or any potion),
1 empty bottle (to fill with dragon's breath),
1 brewing stand,
1 blaze powder, and
1 gunpowder.
You can start brewing your water bottle into a splash potion using the gunpowder as soon as you enter the End. Shooting a crystal should make the Dragon fireball you, and the dragon's breath will turn the splash potion into a lingering potion.
Not having gunpowder can be very punishing since the End Ship chest doesn't have splash potions. If for some reason you needed it, the End Ship has an unpowdered brewing stand with instant health potions. Note that you do NOT need Nether Wart for this goal, all you need from the Fort is blaze powder and a brewing stand if you don't already have one.
There are four methods for this.
Witch
Glistering Melon
Trial Chamber
End Ship
When killing a Witch, it is quite easy to time it so that you kill her when she is drinking a Potion of Healing. If you do this, there is an 8.5% chance that she drops it. If you have this goal and needed to kill the Witch anyway, this is something to bear in mind, but it is more a "check" than a line in itself.
Glistering Melon Slices can be found in 7.3% of Ruined Portal chests, traded for with a max level farmer for 4 emeralds, or crafted from 8 Gold Nuggets and 1 Melon Slice. Melons generate in Jungles, Savanna Villages as pilaes and sometimes in Woodland Mansions. To brew one this way, you will need blaze powder and nether wart as well, requiring a fortress.
Trial Chamber dispensers can have Lingering Potions of Healing in the Chamber Dispensers at a 3.4% chance each, meaning you need to check around 29 dispensers on average to find one.
End Ship is Guaranteed to have 2 Healing potions inside a brewing stand.
Potion of Invisibility
Nether Wart --> Golden Carrot (carrot, 8 gold nuggets) → Fermented Spider Eye (brown mushroom, spider eye, sugar)
Kill Wandering Trader just before night for 8.5% chance.
Potion of Swiftness
Witch is NOT viable (but link that post the other guy sent anyway)
Sugar
Trial Chamber
Potion of Water Breathing
Buried Treasure
Pufferfish + nether
Witch for 8.5%
Potion of Weakness
Igloo
Trial Chamber
Fermented Spider Eye (no nether wart needed, but blaze powder is)
