Dr. Sumit Nagpal

Dr. Sumit Nagpal is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, University of Delhi.  He did his graduation and postgraduation in Mathematics from Hindu College, University of Delhi during 2004-2009. After the completion of his M.Phil. in Mathematics, he joined for the Ph.D. program at the Department of Mathematics, University of Delhi in May 2011 and submitted his thesis in November 2013 with the viva-voce being held in November 2014. 

He started his teaching profession as an Assistant Professor (on ad-hoc basis) at the Department of Mathematics, University of Delhi in January 2014 and joined as an Assistant Professor (on permanent basis) at the Department of Mathematics, Ramanujan College, University of Delhi in March 2014. After serving the Ramanujan College for more than 8 years, he joined as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, University of Delhi in October 2022.

His research interest lies in geometric function theory, an active area of complex analysis. He has published more than 25 research articles in SCOPUS and Web of Science indexed journals. As per google scholar, his h-index is 11 with more than 500 citations. He has supervised 1 M.Phil. and 3 Ph.D. scholar. Currently, he is guiding 4 scholars for their Ph.D.
